2023 HYBRID XLT : COLD START Rattling/Vibration

Any advice, or others have the same on the following?

This sound like the "ICE engine shutdown rattle" but the whole time its rattling.

• Cold Start
• 2023 hybrid XLT
• Jan 23 build
• 10k miles
• The tire was visually "vibrating" there was so much rattling vibration

After a "CLICK" the rattling stopped.

I'm bringing it in for the shuddering TSB anyway next week, hope that might fix this as well?

Mine does this also in the winter. It started after sitting a few minutes at idle in neutral. The engine shakes and sounds like a diesel. Software updates did not help. It stops immediately after I put it in gear. A weird quirk I have learned to live with. If you find a solution please share.

I brought it in, they assessed and didn't find anything wrong.

They did the SOFTWARE UPDATE for the hybrid recall and that seams to have fixed it!

Runs like a dream now, no rattle during cold starts, also no shudder/vibration during breaking.

My 23 XL sounded like a diesel plenty of times this past March after I had first gotten it. A good bunch of hybrids sound surprisingly loud at cold startups. I think it's something to do with the Atkinson cycle engines. It never worried me because I've just seen so many loud hybrids in the winter. Seen it so many times at end of shifts at work over the years.

I get what you’re saying. But my issue was more vibration and rattling plastic due to said vibrations. Definitely not purely intake or valve noise.

Software update for the win!

Also extended warranty and just chalking it up to engineering makes me worry less.

Has always made lots of weird noises, relay clicks, active grill shutters etc. haha all well.

I have a violent shaking and shudder on my 23 xlt with 6300 mile on it. It does this when it starts and while driving. It may go away if you turn the truck on and off. It feels like the the motor is going to explode when it happens. This is the video. Has anyone gotten a resolution from FORD?

I would talk to your dealer and get the SOFTWARE REFLASH.
