So you think it's too large to be compact. Interesting.

You can do that in the Maverick with the 400/Watt inverter -Two trucks in class, technically, and our Maverick beats out the Santa Cruz. Not much of a surprise.
As for the Lightning, I would say with a very high degree of certainty that the absolute last reason I could come up with for buying one is it's ability to keep my crock pot cooking on the way to my in-laws.![]()

At 200 inches of length it is just a few inches shy of a minivan (yes I understand what the first part means) and nobody calls them compact minivans. So you think it's too large to be compact. Interesting.
I also agree, it's easy to win with two options and the poor reliability with the 8spd tranny breaking down, hybrid recalls, hybrid dead battery left stranded, and plus the poor customer service stories roaming around. I just talk to a maverick owner, his EB tranny completely broke at 20k miles. The maverick isn't a true compact truck?
Very true. I really like some of their features better but the bad looks keep me away, reminds of the 4g tacoma's.Haha, I couldn't even think of another compact truck. I don't know what the heck I would call the Santa Cruz beyond fugly.
Yes. It is more like a mid-size truck. An original Ranger and a chevy S10 were compact trucks. The problem is, you can't get a compact truck anymore. And compared to the gargantuan F-150s sold now, the Maverick looks small in comparison, but it's not, really. So you think it's too large to be compact.
besides the fact that it's a lot closer to schoolbus yellow than any true shade of orange... cyber orange clashes heavily with the navy and brown lariat interior. Not really, its the best color for the Maverick.
oh man, I was joking but I totally agree now that I understand you. I thought you were one of those "maverick is not a real truck people." it's not THAT small. it's just small by todays standards.Yes. It is more like a mid-size truck. The Maverick is similar in size to an F-100, which was a full size truck when it was being sold.
Once I clay barred my truck and applied the ceramic coating, the truck doesn't look so much like a school busbesides the fact that it's a lot closer to schoolbus yellow than any true shade of orange... cyber orange clashes heavily with the navy and brown lariat interior.
they have photos of exactly that issue in the KBB article.
