Our source at Ford has just confirmed the OKTB (ok-to-buy) date for the Maverick Hybrid is December 8, 2021, due to the emission certification delay. This info originates directly from Hermosillo plant.

It remains to be seen if this date holds, but we should be less than two months away from the first saleable hybrid Mavericks.

As for EPA MPG release for the Hybrid Maverick, the source isn't 100% certain, but thinks that it should also be released on the same date.
Once OK to Ship has been achieved, the Maverick's can be shipped to the ordering dealers. They remain there until 12/8 ( or whenever the OK to Buy is achieved ). They can deliver the vehicles then. So, short answer they can build and ship now and deliver on or after 12/8.

Confused: Does this mean if I have a 11/01 build date (which so far hasn't changed) that it can still ship to the dealership, just not be sold til after that date?
I wasn't expecting it til the 1st or 2nd week of December anyway.
Ford can ship it to the dealer ahead of the OKTB date.

I ordered a lariat lux pkg June 25 in Clinton Tennessee. My dealer told me that my priority code went from 19 to 02. Can anyone tell me what this means?
I was told the same thing here in Tennessee. Guess I got one "priority code" deduction for each week since my June 11th order Lariat Lux Pkg.

You are assuming the storage area only has one way in? They can get the first built out.
I'm not assuming anything. I said "likely." You're assuming they made the investment up front to assure they could load out from the front of the lot.

I wouldn't assume that.

How does OKTB on December 8th affect Hybrid's built before that date?

Will those already built Hybrid's ship to their dealerships before that date?
or will all built Hybrid's get parked in the Mexico Desert?

How will Ford schedule delivery for the large quantity of Hybrid's built before 12/8?

If a large amount of Hybrid's have to ship starting on 12/8 will the shipping now take 6 or more weeks instead of the usual 3-4 weeks?

What happens to those who have Hybrid Build dates before December 8th?
My Build Date is 11/15 I would like to know how this affects my build.

Has this 12/8 date been double confirmed.

Is the "source" trustworthy?
Has this "source" given valid information before?

And lastly is the "source" not a friend of a friend's sister heard type source.
All great questions

I don’t really understand this…..does this mean Ford Dealers will be able to stock as of Dec. 8, & sell Mavericks to general public? or what does this news mean to those that have mavericks on order?
board had a previous problem with a hybrid that did not achieve the MPG‘s as they advertised. So I’m really hesitant to except my maverick until the official EPA mpg ratings are published. Im beggining to think Ford is trying to release themselves of responsibility if EPA ratings are still not made public by Dec 8, 2021? Something here doesn’t seem quite right. Can someone explain what I’m not understanding?
I dont think the mpg will dip,if anything maybe a few miles better

LIFO does make sense. They've got them stacked up there and likely can't get to the first builds without first moving the last builds...
FIFO, they could easily parked to accommodate this. Firstvcars stowed could be the closest to the railhea.

Until I hear it from my dealer or Ford itself it's fake news
Getting it from Ford would be nice, trusting anything a dealer said 🤣

Exactly!! I would love to go down and view the factory, shake a few hands and then drive back in my Maverick, saving a bunch of $$$ on delivery charges!
Heck I’d like to do that too if that was possible and I live in Vermont
