We ordered our Maverick Lariat Eco boost (with almost everything on it,) the 8th of November 2021. Still no one can give us any idea what is going on. We call Ford directly each month and they have no answers at all. Our patience has now turned to anger but we still want the truck!

That is awful. Has your order been verified by Ford? Your dealer should be able to help you. You should have an order code and a sales code. With that information Ford should be able to give you the status of your order.

Yes, everything has been verified and no one can give us any answers. We are not even sure what the holdup is like which parts. I'm sure its the hitch, mud flaps and such. but .....ugh.

Sounds to me like you should order a MY 24 from a different dealership. Since it’s a EB I’d look around for one on the lot.

Your dealer's allocations are a major factor. Why not drop mud flaps, and add later? That is still a significant constraint. Kinda silly to let that be the reason your truck is passed over for scheduling.

Same w/ Hard trifold tonneau cover. If that is on your order, drop it. You'll have a MUCH better chance of being scheduled if there are no mudflaps & hard folding tonneau cover on your order!!!

Remove the mud flaps and hitch receiver from the order and have those added later. You don't want the OEM mud flaps, anyway. Many on MTC have posted pics of them rubbing through the paint where they touch the fenders.

My '23 XL Hybrid, which I was told would not get built, did get built in a little over a year's wait.

Another possibility is your dealer took way more orders than they had allocations for.

At a cost of several thousand dollars.

Changing dealers means losing out on any private offers, in this case two of them.

This. ☝

I have read so many similar stories, and understand parts shortages and dealer allocations. Still, if I had to wait that long with that kind of dealer "customer service" I'd be disappointed stomping mad. Personally I might take a shot in the dark with Ford to tell the story and request that any applicable discounts be transferred to a more responsive dealership that will actually make it happen. They'll probably balk at the proposition, but it can't hurt to ask sometimes.

They might even give you a free Ford Fits kit for all your continued patience. :poop:

Just give it up and go find one existing on a dealer lot that’s as close to your requirement as you can find. There are absolutely Ford maverick trucks at the dealerships for people who have abandoned their orders.

Well then I guess it will get built one day. Sounds like they will get it for a great price.

If his dealer isn't comatose he would have a rollover 24 already ordered and prioritized for quick build, I smell fish.

Something is def suspicious
No way an Ecoboost order STILL wouldn’t have been built

I'd keep the hitch .. to costly to do after purchase compared to $100.
I agree with the splash guards though.

Recent constraint list:

... two years and no one can tell the OP anything ??? Odd.
I asked my dealer if they had allocations for '24 Ecoboost ... never got a direct answer, so I guess it is possible.

Your Right and we received a letter explaining that they are going to hold the original price. Then they gave us a coupon for ford merch. None of which I want to loose. We just want the truck. so we are holding the order.
