What age group Maverick owner / buyer are you?

I was only 71 when I placed the order. Now, I'm 72 and still waiting. I have owned nine Rangers over the years and have been waiting for Ford to come out with another small truck.

Yeah, but they don't get the Maverick. You pass them your oldest box in the household and then justify YOUR new vehicle.

Buy a 16yo a NEW car... are you going to have it EN-titled in their name? Teach them humility with a beater. "This is the way!"

it boggles my little mind that the 2 largest demographic purchasing Mavs are 30-38 and 60-69ys old! that indicates to me that Ford may indeed have stumbled into something big the market really wants and likes.
the question now is how do they best exploit this happy opportunity?

I’m not a Ford guy. I wish Ram made a truck like this, but they don’t. I wish Toyota made a truck like this but they don’t. So I’m willing to abandon my brand loyalty and wait up to a year, maybe more, for one of these. What does that tell you?

As more votes come in, interesting to see it develop into a double bump curve: Young guys (30-35) and Old guys (65+).

Starting to look similar to the Mazda Miata ownership curves. Likely the same purchase drivers, affordability on the young end and casual enjoyment on the older end.

with all due respect it tells me that i'm right in that Ford has a hit on their hands. what you said about 'not being a Ford guy' tells me that you are exactly the kind of 'conquest customer' Ford and every other OEM hopes to convert to their brand.
i hope that when you do get your truck that you enjoy yours as much as i have mine.

Funny I was JUST wondering what the demographics of Maverick buyers and came to the forums to post a thread asking this very question then I saw this poll.

Ford's marketing seems like it's targeting younger buyers. But where I live almost every Maverick I've seen was driven by men over 40 and many well over 50. You know the type: the guy who owns 15 rental properties and is a millionaire but still wears the same Levi's he's had since 1992
Not that Ford cares as long as they're selling like hotcakes.

When I was at the dealership putting my order in there were a few customers picking up their Maverick's. All middle aged or older frugal looking men. At 43 now and quite frugal I too am in that category haha.

It would be curious to see how many Maverick buyers are financing their purchase vs paying cash compared to other models. I bet Maverick buyers have a higher cash purchase rate vs other models based on lower overall cost of vehicle and the old frugal man demographic

I voted on the poll and like the topic... but no, not really.

I have a feeling that there are a lot of younger Maverick owners that aren't really vehicle enthusiasts and they wouldn't be active members of MTC.
