Is anyone aware of a company that produces rubber groments in sizes that could be used to fill in the holes at the bottom of the tailgate and the back of the truck box?

Do you want grommets or plugs?
Grommets have holes in the center and act as chafing gear for wires, hoses, etc.
Plugs, and this should be obvious, do not.

One of the holes (in both the tail gate and the back of the truck box) has a cable running though them perhaps 3/8 inch in diameter so a gromet would work or just a plug that you could notch to accomodate the cable. The other hole has nothing running through it so a plug would be preferable.

If you want it plugged go to home Depot and but about 1 ft of their rubber floor mat material and some glue. Then trace your holes on something the cut out the exact size for the hole then cut out 2 more slightly wider, like 1/4" and 1/2". Then glue em together with the smallest one in the middle of the sandwich. If you glue it square and round your corners nice it will look professional. Then just pop it in place.

Shouldn't take much more than an hour of work. Then upload size matched scans of your patterns to the forum and rejoice in your master skills!

I think you'd be asking for early rust if you did that.
I'm not talking about the 4 smaller drainage holes located at the bottom edge of the tailgate. These are much larger.

Holes are there for ventilation to prevent rust I believe.interestingly my 2010 rams tailgate doesn't have this and no rust. I plan on temporarily duct taping the hole shut if hauling something then removing when done until I find a better solution.

I am currently using the duct tape option until I come up with something better.

Exactly what I am looking for. I have not been involved with Thingaverse before and cannot find a way to go about purchasing the product. Suggestions?

Thingaverse is just a website for people to create models then upload them to share with other people you can't purchase anything through them.

You will need to contact a 3D printing service to actually have the model printed for you so you can purchase it. A quick Google search for 3D printing services should provide you with a lot of options.

@menno Zacharias
As an example I downloaded the file for the covers then went over to www.xometry.com were they offer an instant quote so I uploaded the files. To manufacture both covers in ABS they quoted $15.28 shipped with a lead time of 5 days.

Keep in mind I spent less than 5 minutes doing this. There maybe better/cheaper 3D printing services or another material besides ABS that you can choose.

@bbhaag you might also check with your local library. Ours has an “Innovation Center” that will print out designs for the cost of material.

I have no desire to have these parts custom manufactured. I was simply trying to help the OP. Since the OP has logged in an read your post and mine my guess is that 3D printing is beyond their knowledge.
