I'm still waiting for Ford to offer the one that has access panels for the oil filter and plug, so you don't have to take that whole plate off just to do an oil change.

agree 100% just give us little flaps with just a few fasteners each. that would be a true improvement.

I never got a straight answer , Is this FIX for the hy-brid only ,
OR is it for all mavericks. I have a 2023 Lariat FX4 AWD ,with a November 24 2022 build date .
And no holes.
I will contact the dealer for more info .

right, but honestly, if a person had the dealer hack holes in their '22 bellypan splashguard, it probably is fine to just leave it that way.

I wouldn't either, unless the original needed replacing. Not like anyone but the mechanic will see it.

there's no need for a metal skidplate on a hybrid, and the fx4 and tremor already have them.

you probably could go get aftermarket skidplates if were doing some soft-roading in a hybrid and wanted to be covered against the odd rock here and there on a forestry road. but if you're in anything properly rocky, you have the wrong maverick.

the entire premise of the drain holes is frankly ridiculous. Ford apparently thinks it's likely enough for the 2.5 hybrid to have such a severe failure that oil weeps out of it that they need to ensure the oil can drain and hopefully not ignite.

that is not an easy thing to do, ejecting a piston or something similarly catastrophic.

I want a similar option for the XLT FX4 steel skidplate. At a reasonable cost. C'mon vendors, get 'er done!
