I have 2 ordered XL and xlt. No confirmation or 45 day emails. Ford told me there's a way of entering the order so they get emails, basically hijack yours to keep you in the dark.
I called into Ford marketing and the rep took a little extra time and looked into my order, a 23 to 24 rollover. She told me my email had been switched to the dealer’s email and I effectively would receive no email from ford. I used to get 45dsy updates, but nothing since July 17. Marketing told me to insist they change it back to mine immediately and also ask them why my priority number went from 2 to 13 and back to 2 in August… They switched the email and gave no explanation or excuse.

Ordered in 22.
Got rolled into 23.
And then got rolled into 24.
Here's the dilemma.
Do I want to get one of the last 23's?
Or wait a few more months to get one of the early 24's?
Especially when the Maverick will become the "southern" vehicle, so we can fly back and forth.

Did you get scheduled for a 23? If you haven't yet you won't be. They are done scheduling 23s. 24s only now.

I was thinking the 23 wasn't going to happen.
In a way that's a bit of a relief.
Maybe the QC is getting better as production continues, and there might be some added goodies in 24 that aren't in 23.
Still, sucks that it takes this long to get a truck.

We can all hope a new model year brings better QC, so far that has not been the case and few, if any issues have totally gone away. What has gone away: many goodies; heated windshield wiper rest, sliding rear window and inverter options, hardwired entry keypad, (have I missed any?). All while the price has gone up.

Late day Thursday's emails should coincide nicely with the strike.

Less color options for XL… I’m having to pay $495 for the red and don’t really love it. Wanted the FLEET ONLY silver or gray.

Is that an old email? This week is scheduling exclusively for November.
Not an old email. A buddy at the dealer said that I was previewed yesterday. They haven't assigned VIN to my knowledge. The week of 10/30 consists of mostly November days. Maybe my order got moved to late October due to having a few more spots open due to the options and model that I ordered. I anticipate an email sometime later in the week.

I've never been a petson to give in to market demand or markup. Crap that I need a new vehicle right now. Oddly a new Maverick, for my needs, is a most cost effe to e choice than used vehicle.

^ but the above quote, thats almost enough to prove how times have changed. Might just bite the bullet and pay markup if I dont get a build date in reasonable time.

Unless you did everything wrong or are trying to build a unicorn... how the heck does the system let you roll over two years in a row? You should have been prioritized.

"Should have".
We have no idea how Ford determines the order they are building these trucks.
All anecdotal - testimonials.
Some people got optioned XL hybrids right away, some are waiting years for stripped down ecoboosts.
They will not say their "system" other than to say supply chain constraints on certain items - which we are often told of after the fact or words like allocations (which you cannot get a number on).
There is nothing you can use.

This isn't a vehicle to get when you need one, more of a vehicle to get if you want one - and have great patience - and a bit of a sucker mentality.

As I have sadly learned, allocations are king.
The dealer told me that there were plenty.
Apparently, a car dealer lied to a customer.
Shocking, I say.
Shocking.
