Reason 101 not to ever move to Florida. Full coverage in Ohio for the 22 Maverick with a $100 deductible and a zero comprehensive runs me well under $300 a half. It probably helps to be with the same insurer for 30 years plus.

I thought it was a state law in Florida that anyone in Florida had to just drive golf carts. Insurance can't be much for one of those.
Actually I think that’s changing to e-bikes because they’re not tagged and no insurance. They go as fast as the golf carts🤣

San Diego CA area, 2 drivers, no citations or accidents, 3 vehicles, total annual mileage driven on all vehicles combined = 13k-17k miles/yr; $250k/500k liability, $1000 deductible collision each vehicle; premium for 6 months with Allstate is $1654.00. Of that total, my '22 Mav EB is $654/6mo. All my property coverage has increased 50% year over year. I am not in a high fire or flood rated area. My auto policy increased the least.

Yikes. Old people and hurricanes must play a big factor in FL insurance rates. I'll be around $310 or 6 months of full coverage in Oregon.

You think that's bad? In L.A. a 6 year old plug in Cmax, garaged in security building, with no tik, no acc, with every discount l could get, is slightly more than that. The quote for my new LARIAT being built this week (have vin) is 300 higher (every 6 months) and l've tried every company.

I’m in Central Florida and mine is about $1,500 year. Insurance in Florida is high, especially in major the cities. I use an independent insurance agent. They write for many companies. You might try getting a few different quotes. I am currently with Auto Owners Insurance company.
Try buying American Family insurance which you can buy thru Costco. You will be a happy camper...

My little Porsche to the left is $300 every six months, but I do have a $2,000 deductible. On the news yesterday, most Insurance Companies are loosing money and in Florida's claims and many are leaving Florida. Can't blame them.

I went to their website and tried to get a quot. It said “not offered in our area“. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have Costco American Family Insurance on home and 4 vehicles...And their rates are excellent but if you ever make a claim it is a nightmare to deal with them. Two claims over 15 years and had to hire an attorney and get my State Insurance Commissioner involved to get paid for both claims. They are rated as one of the worst for filling claims.

RE: What ins carrier = Allstate. They apparently are not writing any new casualty policies in California but are keeping customers who have multiple policies - auto - home - rental property etc. and have good claims records [meaning few or low cost claims]

It’s against the law to profile, or, discriminate against any people group in this country.

Oh wait, that’s never applied to auto insurance companies has it?

Single male, great driving record, no accidents= screwed.

74 here. No accidents, no tickets, clean driving record. My quote for the Maverick is $$650/year prepaid. At least something is cheaper up here then it is down country.

Maybe in Ohio but not here. I change carriers every 3-4 years and always save a ton of money when I do. Then they creep, creep up the rates every year, then off I go to the next one. Will be two vehicles and the house. No rental cars in the policy and $500/yr deductible which drops $50 a year with no claims.

I wonder why the premium for my 2023 Maverick is less than for my wife's 2018 CR-V...
Multiple factors could be the cause. CRV may have higher repair costs. Or higher blue book value. Or be more likely to be stolen.
