I just received my new tonneau purchased on amazon. The brand was Tyger and I will give my first impressions. Pease note that it is being compared to the one on my 12 year old f 150 made by Extang which is a great cover. The cover fit very well and is a satin finish that matches the trim on the bed very well it was easy to install. The hardware is a little lighter than my other liner and the "fabric" is a textured vinyl as opposed to a vinyl covered fabric. It had extra latches for added safety. Overall I do not expect it to last as long as the Extang but it is a lot less money. I am happy with it so far but We will see how it likes a Cleveland winter.

It looks good! I don‘t know how hard the latch is to attach, especially when the bed is packed full but I hated the Ford trifold cover that was on my ‘22 because the latch was so difficult to use. I dreaded everytime I had to latch it because I had to lay on my back and pull down on the lever with my body weight to latch it and then I would have to push the rest of the stuff under the cover to pack the bed😖

I ended up with the Extang ALX on my ‘23 that I ordered through my dealer using my FordPass points. I installed myself in about 1 hour (the OCD in me made me adjust it several times🤣). It ended up costing $139 and I couldn’t be happier! All it takes to open the cover is rotating one knob and you drop the third panel to latch it shut. I open and close it all the time now!

same one in my shopping cart, was looking forward to a review thanks.
nice thing about a soft fold is it's so easy to take completely off when you need the full bed.
"temporary" xtang on my Raptor has lasted over 12 years and still looks good..

Everything looks exactly the same as the cover I got from Rough Country. I installed mine last April and have been very happy with how dry the bed stays. I still notice quite a bit of "flapping" at highway speeds, however overall great cover!

after brushing the snow off in winter the flapping finishes the job.

I had a roll up cover on my S10, and decided to go for a soft trifold on my Maverick. The roll up took a lot more time to put back on for 1 person, and was awkward to handle. The trifold was easy because it laid across the bed and you didn't have to go back and forth from side to side to position it. I would of liked to get a hard trifold cover, but they were 4X the cost of a soft one.

I've had the Tyger soft tri-fold on our Mav for a couple of months now and am very pleased with it. I've not noticed any leaks, and there is minimal ripple at highway speeds. A great value for the price, in my opinion.

I noticed you didn't cut the plastic away for the latches like it says to do in the instructions. I didn't either and it seems to be fine, the rail and plastic are almost even so I figured it was ok. Have had the cover on for a couple months and i like it. It leaks a little with heavy rain but I didn't install the weatherstripping and I don't mind a little water getting in. Super easy to take on and off quickly. Flaps a little at highway speed but barely even notice it. Got it for less than 200 memorial sale on tyger website. Couldn't justify 1000 for hardcover, don't need the security.

I put a Extang Trifecta ALX Soft Tri-Fold on my Mav and it looks great, however there is a problem with the vinyl material blowing and flopping when on the highway. I called the manufacturer and they had me take pictures and send in with my model and serial number and yesterday they emailed they are replacing the entire system but they never commented what was wrong and never asked me any questions other than the pictures.

I have an extang. Found the latches in the to be a pain esp with a full truck bed. Spring loaded clamps, like the one the op has. Guess they all are like that. Bit of a pain to take off as you have to remove the safety clamps too. But again they all are like that. I did not want a roll up as the clamps that hold the rails in place always seemed to get in the way. As I had on other trucks.

Looks basically the same as the Tip Top for $160 on Amazon. Hardware a bit different whereas the latching bracket is plastic and the Tip Top is aluminum.

My first choice was the Extang AXL but too much financial outlay on the Mav right now to justify it.
