After watching and reading everything under the sun about the Maverick since it's intro .
I decided to see what was available on the local dealer lots .
I knew what I pretty much wanted . I began checking all Mavericks for sale near me , on line .
I found one that fit the bill 100% . I made an appointment for a test drive . That was all it took .
The car was a special order ,and when it arrived at the dealer, the gentleman who ordered it
had to cancel the purchase . Family crisis arose changing his plans at the last minute . I felt bad ,as he had waited nearly 2 years for his build .
It is a 2023 Lariat FX4 , Shadow Black , with every available option +$685.00 in dealer installed options ,TOUCHLINK truck bed lighting
window air deflectors ( all windows ) cargo bed net , and tailgate lock . The tonneau is a hard tri fold .
To top It off the car had a " Ziebart Diamond Gloss Protection Package " that include the paint ,glass , fabric and undercoat and a sprayed in bed liner .
I did get a ford plan discount . I did get the extended service plans they had to offer . I know some will disagree with my chioce but for ten years I don't have to do Squat , just take it to the dealer , wait for the service / repair , drink their coffee ,and do crossword puzzles . LOL
I don,t plan on doing any major mods like some of you . I think I will change the lighting to all LED .
On another note , I have belonged to a lot of other forums in the past ,and so far the members of the Maverick Truck Club , have been very civil and there for one another . I will try not to disapoint.
My wife said it seems like I'm bragging , I don't mean to , but my last NEW vehicle was back in 2000. You know how it goes ,the wife gets the new auto and the hubby gets the " beater " .
