Ain't the driving style affecting Sam's MPG - it's da heat. It's been way over 100°F in Phoenix. High temps of 110°+ for over a month. The electric A/C causes the gas engine to run a lot more when it's that hot. The A/C compressor cools both the cab and the high voltage battery.Good review. While his 40 mpg is great considering how EPA/Ford publicize expected mileage (37mpg in mixed driving), it's much lower than mine. After 6K miles, I am averaging 46mpg in mixed driving, always set in Slippery Mode). I'll just chalk it up to differences in driving style and geography.
I average a consistent 43 MPG in mixed traffic and hit between 57 and 63 MPG in some situations.Good review.
