I know he's on the site but did not see it posted. Nice honest review of issues etc. Will be curious to see if the new tires/mods make a difference in MPG

Excellent review, Sam!! You hit all the major points and then some. I was wondering how you felt about Ford copying your previous look on your Maverick and you even covered that! Can't wait to see what you do next.

Good review. While his 40 mpg is great considering how EPA/Ford publicize expected mileage (37mpg in mixed driving), it's much lower than mine. After 6K miles, I am averaging 46mpg in mixed driving, always set in Slippery Mode). I'll just chalk it up to differences in driving style and geography.

Ain't the driving style affecting Sam's MPG - it's da heat. It's been way over 100°F in Phoenix. High temps of 110°+ for over a month. The electric A/C causes the gas engine to run a lot more when it's that hot. The A/C compressor cools both the cab and the high voltage battery.

Great review. Although I don't have a Hybrid myself, it is nice to get some perspective and hear what the common problems are and how well the fuel economy is overall. I honestly like the current makeover better than the first. The 70s style striping is a little controversial and not for everyone's taste. This more off-roady look definitely suits the truck better and is a very popular trend with the Maverick and trucks overall.

BTW, it was because of you that I was able to install the white letter overlays on the tailgate. I used your video as a reference when installing the overlays a few weeks after I got it. It's also been a year and a half for me and the overlays still look brand new. No peeling, discoloring, or bubbling. Thank you for all of your guidance and well spoken review (y)

Nice review, the latest transformation is more suited to my tastes than the retro version, but it looks like the Mav is serving as a great palette for experimentation.

The point on dashboard rattles, caught my attention. I have one where the ip/dash module and dash overlap(highlighted area). It occurs at temp ranges below 70°f. When I run the air conditioner I will get the rattle. I can put pressure on the top surface and the noise goes away. Not sure if the complete module comes out?

I average a consistent 43 MPG in mixed traffic and hit between 57 and 63 MPG in some situations.
