Hope you are ok Tim!
The Maverick can be fixed or replaced. Send a photo or 2 when you are up to it.
God Speed on that recovery!
I found a shop to fix it.

Surprised. Seems like it would hit the percentage that insurance would total it.I found a shop to fix it.
Wow! I have seen the insurance total a maverick for a lot less damage.![]()

Iād have guessed it was totaled too. Maybe being a more expensive Lariat made the difference.Surprised. Seems like it would hit the percentage that insurance would total it.
Yeah, but that adds to the cost, with the ACC module being in the front.Iād have guessed it was totaled too. Maybe being a more expensive Lariat made the difference.
Yeah! You would have thought. They didn't and I have the bruises and bumps on my head and body to prove it.Shouldn't the air bags deploy on a front end collision![]()
Thanks! I'm still running pretty slow. Given the way I was feeling and looking I expected worse from the Maverick too. I'm hoping it's repairable. I won't know till it gets towed to the shop. I don't know about waiting another couple of years for another one. I wonder what the magic $ is for it to get totaled?@Timothyd I take it you got discharged from the hospital? That's a good sign.
Your Maverick looks better than I anticipated given you hit a tree.
Hope both you and the Mav are back to your old selves soon!
That really sucks.Yeah! You would have thought. They didn't and I have the bruises and bumps on my head and body to prove it.
Okay, I found a shop to drag it to for an estimate. No guarantees if they're going to fix it. I hope so, it sure was stressful acquiring it in the first place.Surprised. Seems like it would hit the percentage that insurance would total it.
Yeah, probably a long list of details that are going to push it into negative territory, I'll find out Monday hopefully. It's still at the tow yard. I've already contacted my dealership/ salesman on a replacement. Nothing is going to happen quickly. Big bummer all the way around. I waited so long for it too.Yeah, but that adds to the cost, with the ACC module being in the front.
At a minimum it seems to need an entire front clip, subframe, passenger front suspension and wheel & tire. Most likely passenger rocker trim piece. Canāt tell but would expect the door has some damage, and who knows what else in the engine bay (radiator, condenser, etc). Canāt tell if any air bags went off, those are costly.
So if not totaled! has to be very close. Maybe shop will end up there after they take a closer look.
Certainly can see how OP got knocked out, glad he is ok.
As much as I love my Mav, if it was mine, Iād hope they would total it. Plus the resale would suck now too.
Yup, thanks. Both of us are pretty beat up.Get yourself well, then get your Maverick well. Best of luck to you.
