For installation, I noticed this on RealTruck's website. " Keep windows in the up position for 72 hours and do not drive vehicle for four hours after installation. "

RealTruck's Install Video:
Yup yup, installed before sundown and left up overnight, next morning had to press the window trigger multiple times, seems it has a torque threshold where the motor tries not to kill itself. Pull visor out from the body and crank that trigger until the window releases.

Ahhh, well that explains the spikey looking protrusions as well. Were you able to take the center bar off easily?
It's a few bolts and tabs: check out Redneck's video on it - much easier followed and much clearer details than that original "full bumper teardown" video that was making rounds last year

How do they work in car washes. A family member used to work in the car wash business and had horrific stories about busted windows.
Instructions explicitly say no car washes that use the spinning brushes that run the length of your vehicle - probably protecting themselves from liability but 🤷 can't imagine that's a super real possibility that will happen with 100% certainty.

This might be a dumb question.... Do in channel window deflectors affect window tinting? Like would the tint get scuffed/peeled back from it when you roll the window up and down? I've never had the deflectors, but I have wanted some because of rain being a constant factor for me..

I wouldn't think so. My understanding window tint is applied to the inside portion of the window which does not come into contact with the portion of the visor in the window channel.

What OleFord says, my tint has not been affected whatsoever....yet!

For those with the lariat, have you experienced the bounce back safety feature not allowing the windows to close?

I did just when doing the initial 5 up/downs after installation. I just held the switch all the way up and all the way down 5 times and now the auto function works as normal.

Odd... No matter what I do...the bounce back feature won't let me complete the 5 up/down instructions. I researched more and decided to override the bounce back feature, but now it will go up but won't go down. I have to wait about a minute before I think it resets and then lets me lower the window.

I ordered them Tuesday from their website, got them Wednesday and installed (they are in the same state).

These are nice!

The ones you ordered, are they the "slimeline window visors?" Kept looking for a glossy option but its either matte black or slimeline, figured Id reach out to confirm. This is the link Im looking at:

https://realtruck.com/p/egr-slimline-inchannel-window-visors/v/ford/maverick/2023/

Do you find you have any issues with the way they match the rest of the truck? Doesn't seem like itd be much of an issue, but tough to tell from pictures sometimes. The visibility issue of the matte black seems like a big con, so Im leaning towards these ones like many others on this thread.

I did initially as well. Fixed itself after leaving them up for a couple days. I decided to use some double sided adhesive on the fronts since they were a bit loose. Every other in channel deflectors I have owned had them, but the EGRs did not. They are doing much better now that I added some. I suggest if you are still having that issue, try using some 3m exterior adhesive (thin strips) across the entire length of them.

Just search on Amazon for them or EGR direct. And yes, visibility on the passenger side cuts off a good portion of the mirror. I've owned the matte version before on a different truck and personally, I felt it just looked like too much exterior window trim.

EGR direct is no shipping fee. So any discount you get from RT would basically counter their shipping cost. I've also hear negative things about their refund policy. Just go to EGR directly or through Amazon if you have Prime.

I have XLT so no bounce back, but my experience installing these window visors is all the windows except the driver's side I was able to do the 5 up and down w/o issue. On the driver's side I had to help the window up and back down the last bit by palming the glass and pushing up and down. The fitment was just a little too tight for the motor to handle. After letting it sit for a couple days I've been able to use all the windows without issue. I'm so glad that someone came out with these. I've always used WeatherTech visors on my past vehicles, but they didn't come out with these before someone else did. Their fault for loosing my sale. ;) BTW, for those looking to buy the EGR visors, I was able to get mine from RealTruck with a MTC discount. PM the RealTruck account asking if he is able to give you a discount and you might get one.

So this was some time ago but I iniated a return and was told to just keep them and my refund would still be processed. They were true to their word. Anyways, I decided to give it another try and left the windows up for a couple of days, lo and behold that did the trick. I'm not proud of it but $free.99 felt pretty good.

These available thru dealerships or Ford accessories?
Ask your dealer‘s accessory person if they can order this. I was surprised to find out my dealer could order the tonneau cover I wanted and I think it came from RealTruck. RT will give you a MTC discount and the dealer will charge retail but you can use your FordPass points! My $529 bedcover ended up costing me $139!

FYI, you can also call them to place your order and ask for a MTC discount.
