He sent over a copy of the DORA and the order code is different. I'm guessing this means Ford has no way of knowing if this is a rollover or not
Please read this thread and ensure your dealer corrects your order code.

I've been talking to them now but it's like pulling teeth with these guys. I have to hound them constantly just to do the smallest things for me.

Tell them you can call Ford's complaint number and have them send over the Regional manager to show them how to do it.

Then go to a different dealership. It's that easy. There are plenty of allocations remaining. There are plenty of other dealerships that want to earn your business.

It's not that easy. I can't change dealerships without losing priority and my private offer.
If I switch dealerships then it's thousands more and potentially another year+ wait.

This year was a bit different... buyers have to place their MY2024 order with the same dealership they used for MY2023 (with the same order# too) or they loose the Private Offer money. A new requirement.

Yeah, concession for the dealership so they don't lose a sale but depends on the deal to know what they're doing.

I did read somewhere on MTC thread that you can use another dealer for rollovers, but have to go through some kind of exception process.

Well, Ford botched this as much as they botched everything else about the Maverick. My dealer told me they are "automatically" renewing all 2023 orders that weren't fulfilled to a 2024.
Exactly what Ford was trying to avoid. I was told going in there like I did wasn't necessary. I checked on the ford.com site chat the status of my order and she confirmed that yes it was updated to a 2024. So apparently nothing was required to be signed because I signed nothing and if that's all true I have to imagine every single dealer out there is doing the same thing. No dealer is going to miss out on getting a truck that somebody didn't want and marking it up five or $10,000.
They totally botched this.
There is NO "automatic" renewal of 2023 orders. For anyone in this situation, they need to go to their dealer, enter a new order for 2024 model with the SAME name and order number as the 2023 order. See this attachment I found elsewhere on MTC.

All dealers are rolling over the 2023 orders to a 2024. They don't need your driver's license again. And yes, it's the same order number and the same name. They don't need you to sign anything again. Why would they not do this? No dealer is going to lose a order. If it turn out you've lost interest bought something else or died more the better for them Why would they let an order they could possibly get and markup like crazy be canceled?
I understand your understanding of what is suppose to be happening. I don't need to read the attachment, yes that's what Ford nievely and stupidly thinks is happening - they don't even know their own dealers mentality. So you think that if the person doesn't contact them they will not renew the order?
Why would they do that?

You also lose (not loose) priority so your order may be built later or not at all.

There are a NUMBER of differences in ordering a 2023 or a 2024. Color choices, packages are different, etc. IF you rely on your dealer to "take care of it for you", I predict you will be back here whining about the dealer "screwing you over." For heaven's sake, make a little effort. We cancelled VINs made an effort as packages and colors changed between 2022 and 2023. Those who made little to no effort are the ones all surprised that their Adaptive Cruise Control and Rear parking sensors were "missing." If you don't want to sign a 2024 order for some reason, there is no up-side...only a down-side.

I am not 100% sure but I think the dealer needs customer signature to finalize the COVP process (step 5 in the attachment of my prior posting). This is to prevent the exact thing you are commenting about. Without proper COVP any rollover order is not legit.

They didn't get my signature again and I got confirmation from Ford for both my orders at two different dealers.. They are doing this.
