Hi, I am about to place an order for the 2024 model year. I understand that all models had gone through a price hike after the truck was in high demand and was priced "low" for two years.

I am trying to find a model configuration for 2024 that gives the biggest ban for the buck (least amount of price appreciation compared to the last two years) and also likely appreciates or holds value for a while.

Here is the breakdown:
If you can wait and u dont need to tow anything, plain Jane hybrid xl all day every day

If you need to tow, any eb would be just fine as long as you are adding the hitch thru the lux package

If you can't wait, eb over hybrid

The lux packages come with more "bloatware" now so they can justify jacking up the cost.
Lariat, If you want heated seats, u gotta pay for the 360 and lane assist.

Anyone who has a 2022/2023 will have more equity than a 2024 cuz of the increases.

But if u are looking at long term value, probably the xl hybrid.

XL Hybrid
- CoPilot 360
- Hitch
- Spray in bedliner

That would be the sweet spot - if you don't need the 4k tow

So MSRP from $24,895 (2023) to $27,490 (2024), a 10.5% increase is the best bang for the buck, right?

Where do you see heated seats when you add the 360? I only see heated seats in the XLT Lux package

The sweet spot has not changed. XLT w/ Luxury package. Your choice of EB or Hybrid. Lux now requires separately adding the SIBL and D-link bed connectors.

good luck...

If you want to see it anytime before the end of time XL hybrid is the sour spot. Severe constraints on both.

XLT lux won't come from the factory with SIBL. It only comes with a drop in liner.

But if you have an unscheduled 2023 order, then on the 2024 order, your order will be prioritize over the new 2024 orders. Assuming your dealer has the allocation....

If you want to get it built and have decent resale value down the line order this configuration.

XLT with 2.0 engine, AWD with 4K or FX4 package, and CP360. Add the Lux package if you live in a northern climate.

Ford wants to crank these out like crazy becasue it's the sweet spot between profit and the ability to manufacture them.

Yes, that's why I suggested above adding the Spray In Bedliner.... It's an order of magnitude better than the drop-in....

I thought you can't remove the DIBL from the Lux package though. If you want a spray in, you're not getting it from the factory with the XLT Lux now, and you'll have to pull the DIBL out.

Honestly I do think the sweet spot is the XLT Lux package though. EcoBoost will get it faster, but the fuel economy of the hybrid is worth the wait if you can stand it.

If you want bang for your buck on return, do not get a Lariat. I have a fully loaded one that stickers $37k and I'm not even getting offers for MSRP, more like $31-32k. XLTs and even XLs are getting $4-5k above sticker still. Don't bother with a Lariat if it's for resale value.
