Called dealer to inquiry about my 2023 hybrid that was order on september 15th. I desired to know what the private order would
be to offset the price of the 2024 because I did not receive my 23.

Dealer said, Ford doesn't tell you until you get your vin number for the 2024. So, will have to wait until then.
If the dealer is correct then I Hope this assists others who didn't know this information.

Does anyone know if going from a 2023 XLT Hybrid Lux/BC to a 2024 Lariat Hybrid with the same dealer and same order number will kill the private offer?

Same order and same dealer is all that matters (and same dealer only for the purposes of getting prioritized over the new MY24 orders). But your private offer will be based on the XLT price, not the new Lariat (Ford is only compensating for what you had).

So I'm still a little confused on that.

My 23 was a XL Ecoboost AWD 4K at around $27k-ish.

Looks like a 24 XL Hybrid (what I was thinking about going to) is $27K-ish

So are they going to give me a private offer based on the 23 XL Hybrid price to offset the 24, or are they going to look at it and say your 24 price is about equivalent to your original 23 order, no money for you.

My understanding is Ford is going to give a certain amount for those who had a MY23 XL Hybrids order regardless of what you ultimately order for MY24. Repeat for the seven other drivetrains and trims (XL EB, XLT Hybrid, XLT EB, XLT Tremor, Lariat Hybrid, Lariat EB, Lariat Tremor). It is to offset the base package only.

So your private order is to be used on your MY24 Maverick order, but its amount will only depend on what you ordered for MY23. If you manage to make out, then great!

Thanks for answering. My only concern is the change in body code, even though it is to a higher trim. The way I specced the '23 XLT order was already right at $30,000, and it didn't have Blue Cruise Assist (not available on XLT). A Private Offer from the XLT Hybrid (plus more $$$), and the equipment in the '24 base Lariat Hybrid price seems like a good value from where I was in the '23 XLT.

We should find out in a month or so when MY24s start scheduling.

Don't confuse Blue Cruise and Co Pilot 360/360 Assist. They are different capability and cost wise.

My dealer called me and started talking about trading my 23 in for when the next one shows up.
I actually would rather have the 24 because everything I wanted on the 23 on order had to be dropped. Now everything will need to be piecemeal at higher prices. I know the dealership won’t give on the prices.

Thanks, my terminology was wrong, I've got BC Hands-Free (now renamed) on my other Ford.

I optioned the $650 Co-Pilot 360 on the XLT. The second component 'Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist' was unavailable on the '23 XLT, optional on the '23 Lariat. Both are standard on the '24 Lariat this year. That change, with a Private Offer, eats up a lot of the price difference.

Sadly Scotty the dealer is not correct as they almost never are.
This private offer information is available all over the internet including on here.
You can find exactly what will be yours.
The dealer is either uniformed of simply lazy or both.
But yeah technically they are correct you won't get the offer until then, but we all know what they are - so does he.

thanks for response. about 3 weeks ago got a message from ford telling me my23 will be scheduled for production week of sept. 18. In a way thats too bad.

i would have liked a 24 after waiting all this time for the 23 which maybe i will get my hands on it in late november. I would have probably gotten the 24 maybe february of 24 since I was at the front of the line carry over.

Lol. Front of the line for a 24?
There are folks here that had 22 orders turn into 23s, that are now turning into 24s…
