I thought that dealer name looked familiar. I lived in Kissimmee for 21 years. Left after the 2004 hurricane season. Every other weekend got old real quick.

Well, my dealer had the ETA for my Maverick as today and expected it to come in on the truck last night. It didn't and now they are seeing an ETA of July 20-26. Argh...

My Mav survived the trip to the dealer! Tracker updated yesterday to Final Prep. At the dealership this morning for an oil change on another vehicle. Checked with sales guy and I got to do a quick test drive before they finish up a couple add ons I had them do. Should have it in my driveway by the middle of next week!!

Finally built 6/11... Shipped 6/13... Stop over in Nogales 3days, sent to Illinois for a week made it to Jacksonville. (Actually went through the Waycross freight yards 8 miles from my house ) and is now waiting a truck to haul it back here to the dealer

FINALLY,
My maverick arrived at the dealer 07/05/23,... but i didn't receive any notification from the dealer . I had checked on the tracking site that morning (as I have been doing every morning since it arrived in Jacksonville)and it still showed in transit. The next morning the tracking site showed it at final prep (still no call from the dealer) so I went down to the dealership (Got there before the sales staff arrived) and browsed around the lot until i found it. I waited for my salesman to show up and asked why I hadn't been told it was here and he said they were waiting to do the final cleanup /service before calling.
After waiting almost 10 months and multiple trips to check on it you would think a heads up is not an unreasonable expectation. I live a small town less than 5 minutes from the dealer. They knew it was being delivered but didn't think I might like to know (Iwould have run down there to watch it roll off the truck . I still had to wait for it to be serviced but the fact it was finally here mellowed my attitude and I completed the paperwork and went home to wait for the call. By the time he called it was a little anticlimatic. We went through some of the basics, got my phone connected to android auto and logged in to Ford Pass and headed out but some of the thrill was gone.
It's taking a little getting used to. You don't get the kick to life like a gas engine, just a little green ready light. I still keep reaching for a gear shift lever then remember it's a dial. plus all the new car learning curve stuff like brake feel, acceleration , and how far the front end goes before it's in the next space but I really like this and overall it was worth the wait.

It's on the lot (wife and I did the slow drive-by), but they had a ton of new vehicles dropped off at the same time. So, it isn't "on the lot" per my salesman. Still needs to go through the final prep and it is in line. He hopes no later than tomorrow morning.

Impeccable timing as I just returned home from being out of town for several days. Wife and I had to quickly remove the beach from the F-150 loaner...
