Let's start a pool -- how long will 2024 Maverick order bank be open for?

Prices might have increased but the used car market hasn't significantly dropped. The Maverick remains one of the most economical truck/hybrid options on the market, and awareness of it has only grown. The demand isn't going away.

How long Ford's servers spend choking on order submissions will probably play a bigger part in the order bank window than demand. If their servers are up to the task I bet all orders could be made in 2 days. But it won't so probably 5-6 days again to give dealers a fair shake at receiving and submitting orders (even if it inevitably means receiving too many orders).

Used car market was down 4.2% last month. It is dropping. The days of major upside down trades is right around the corner.

According to Tim, dealers got that information last week. Ford even told them how many of each trim.

Well, it will crash early the first day (like last year) so they will have to have it open the second day but that will be it.
Or that SHOULD be it, they will again keep taking orders they know they can not build (like last year). Because maybe some of the 3rd and 4th days orders will be easier/more profitable to build than us first day losers.

My dealer laughed at me last year when I said I got there early the first day because I didn't think it would last a week. "Oh no you'll have a few months".

I'm going with 5 days. Assuming it actually opens on Monday I think it will be closed by the end of the day Friday.

It is funny, I didn't even find out the Maverick existed until the end of December 2021 or January 2022. I was in need of a vehicle, so I tried to find one on a lot to check out, having no idea they were as scarce as they were/are. Once I figured that out (primarily by information I got on this forum on 1/17), I went to my local dealer and ordered on January 18. They actually had a sold XL on the lot. Obviously, I couldn't drive it, but they let me look inside and sit in it so I could verify the size and seats worked for me. The order banks were closed by the end of January, but when I ordered there was apparently no indication that was about to happen. My truck arrived at the end of October 2022.

In retrospect, I am really surprised I was able to place an order months after the order banks opened. Especially given what happened in September of last year.

I would say that if you want a 2024 Mavrick you would have to get your order in one the first day. If you wait till AM, the second day it will be too late.
