lol....that's a photoshop'd Ranger...
Virtually all the truck renderings are photoshopped Fords. The gold standard of trucks.

I was at my local Ford dealer yesterday. Like everywhere else, they can't get Mavericks and if/when they do, they are sold quickly above MSRP.

So, I asked the sales manager whether anyone has placed an order for the new, 2024 Ranger. He said, "One."

We then talked about how the 24 Ranger may be a flop. He said he feels Ford priced it too high relative to the competition, and I said that I feel it lacks aesthetically and value-wise compared to the new Colorado in say a Trail Boss trim, which I would certainly choose over the Ranger.

Bottom line: Ford has probably cannibalized the Ranger sales long term with the Maverick, and the introduction of a lackluster refresh for 2024 isn't going to help matters. I'd be willing to bet 2024 Ranger sales will be pretty woeful.

And to think just a couple of years ago, I was one of those many buyers for the Tacoma since that was my trade-in for the Maverick. It was a good truck overall but it doesn't even compare to the Maverick. The ride quality was bouncy, jittery, and stiff. The cabin was high and narrow and the seats were uncomfortable for long commutes. And that V-6 was an absolute dog with acceleration and gear searching.

The Maverick fixes all of that and then some. The ride quality is composed with just a little stiffness, the cabin is tall and airy and the seats are comfortable for long commutes. Not to mention how much better looking and unique the Maverick is compared to the dime-a-dozen Tacoma, especially in its Earth tone colors. Although the interior scratches too easily for my liking and going through the inevitable airbag recall, it's been a great little truck, especially engine wise. Also, the value is superb. To this day, it's worth $3K over sticker. No depreciation so far, I know it's coming but for right now, it's very steady.

Two of my buddies have Tacomas where shocked that the Maverick has more interior space than their truck. They still laugh and call the Maverick a “trucklet.” 🤣

Me too actually. Zero problems in 13,000 miles. I have no problem calling myself cheap. I, Scott, am cheap. My wife isn't, which is why she drives a ludicrously expensive Volvo.
Exactly, cheap isn't bad and expensive isn't good. All the more reliable and longer lasting cars are cheaper usually. I still see late 90s focuses driving around, and those were like 13k cars when new. I wonder where all the 80 grand BMW's from the era are right now...

I have owned 4 Kia Vehicles, All with no issue's! Current one has 200K miles. Never thought I would buy a Ford but Cheapish seems to be the best word!
I'd buy this KIA truck if they bring it to US! Price $ 34K probably Hybrid for sure!

Want to talk cheap, a few years back (2017 ?) my boss bought a TURD Tacoma and it still had drum brakes on the rear. They might have updated since then but my year older Frontier had discs in back. It also was also several thousands less and had 4WD.
No cool sticker though 🙁. That NISSAN never went to the dealer for any warranty work, his TURD had its share of visits though.

Ford Maverick 21,021
Chevrolet Colorado 19,909

Jeep Gladiator 13,751
Ford Ranger 12,618

Very interesting. According to some post the Maverick should be avoided like the plague and immediately sold if you have one. :ROFLMAO:
