Old and stupid here. Can someone explain what this means please? "to offset any non‑equipment related price increases" or are there equation charts somewhere? lol Or is it like we raised the price so we will let you add some options for free? Ford will provide you with an incentive, through your dealer ? Any information would be helpful.

You could be young and brilliant and still ask the same question... ;) What is the definition of 'non-equipment. I would guess that only Ford really knows. We can presume they mean MSRP and destination charges and will be a set rebate for all 23s converted to 24s. Use search function to find latest Videoguy stream from Tim; a good source but based on what he has been told up to now also.!!

I take it to mean base prices and transpo are price protected. any packages that include additional equipment for 2024 will increase by the price of that additional equipment.

They will announce the amount of the private offer for unscheduled orders in a few weeks. But to get it for the 2024 you have to order from the same dealer that is 2023 is ordered from and if the 2023 gets scheduled they cancel the 2024 order and no private offer.

that's right, it only applies if your 2023 doesn't get built. either way an order gets canceled. it may be meant to limit dealer shenanigans.

wanna try to force a jump to 2024? try adding all the constraints to your 2023 order lol

If the price being one way or the other a couple hundred of dollars dependent on what the rebate ends up being is what breaks the affordability for you then you're probably buying too much vehicle.

You can always modify the order after initially placing it or refuse delivery.

Ordering will close the first day. Ford marketing is still so stupid underestimating the demand for this truck - even at these prices.
I have to agree that I think they are being stupid. The idea I get is they are trying to protect the profit levels realized on the F-150 and other higher-priced models. If Mavericks were in stock, on the lots, people would actually come shop and buy them. That is the concept of covering the full range of price levels from entry to top of the line. GM under Durant had models that covered the price spectrum, Chevrolet to Cadillac. In this case, it seems Ford wants to keep the product out of the showroom to be able to push buyers(potential. for the moment) into a higher priced model. I think it is stupid for at least two reasons. One, the first-time, growing family that would be looking will pass the Ford dealer on the way to others who have products that are closer to their budget than a $50k (minimum) F-150 and second, there is no reason to shop Ford as they have no product in the smaller size range. Nothing on the shelf, and nothing on the lot. I walked the local dealer and found one F-150 super cab that rang in at around $55k.
So the first time buyer shops competition and likes their lineup and has a good experience. Will they bother to shop Ford in the future? The shopper looking for something similar to the Maverick may end up with the competitor brand because they KNOW they cannot touch a Maverick, much less buy one.
Est stupidus.

Or, y'know, Ford is just continuing with their plan of trying to move more of their production to customer ordered vehicles so they don't need to cut margins as much with incentives. Like they said they were going to two years ago.

The 23 price in not "protected".... the private offer will be based on the (approximate) increase of the base vehicle. Probably by power train. So if MSRP for hybrids goes up ~$2,000 and MSRP for EBs goes up ~$1,000. That is what the private offer will be based on.
If you ordered a moonroof, and the moonroof goes up $200, that increase will not be factored into the private offer.

They are simply saying that the private offer amounts will be calculated only in the increase in base vehicle prices, and that any increase in the price for various optional equipment will not factor into the equation.

The Mav pictured in my profile is my first Ford product EVER. I am so fatigued by all the games Ford is playing and having to constantly figure out how to manuver through the ordering process. I purchased my MY22 2.0 EB Lariat off the lot paying the SoCal premium - $1795 over sticker which included rattles and vibrations in the dashboard over rough surfaces. It was a normal vehicle buying experience. I have an order in for a MY23 hybrid Lariat and my dealer just contacted me so he can be ready to input the order on 7/17 when the order bank opens for MY24. Now I am thinking a Honda Ridgeline is a better choice even if I do sacrifice MPG.

I doubt many people that would buy an F-150 would suddenly jump down 2 levels to a Maverick. Maybe down to a Ranger.
