Would you cancel your unbuilt MY23 for a guaranteed MY 24

I was just wondering if any of y’all would cancel your unbuilt ‘23 Maverick if you got a guarantee of a delivered ‘24, even though the ‘24 would include price increases. In other words, would you rather have a 23 in hand, or wait another few months for a newer model year?

I don't think I would at this point. I'll probably end up with a my24 anyway. Why would I give up any price protection? The my24 does not offer anything really different. If I don't actually get a my24 either, then I'm sure by my25 there will be multiple options through multiple manufacturers as well as maybe an AWD Maverick hybrid and PHEV. My current vehicles are not dying and there's no hurry for me.

That would be insane. You lose any price protection as you most likely will end up in the 2024 model year anyway since you ordered a hybrid . The prices went WAY up I see you order a hybrid well that alone is up 1500!!! XL is almost a grand too,. 2500 blown away. Plus Ford said people that had 2023 order and not build first in line. No don't drop your order.

Oh, no! I wouldn’t cancel my order! I just know guys hat have to have the latest and greatest of every vehicle they buy. They trade every year or two!

If you want a hybrid I would not do it. If you keep your order and do the diligence required for the 2023 order you keep your existing price.
Now for the grey area that needs help from Ford. You keep the base price for what you ordered. What I got out of the email if the price of options goes up you must pay for them.
So if say you order an XL in 2023 you avoid the $1000 hike however the hybrid engine is now a $1500 option. To keep your hybrid engine are you stuck paying the extra $1500 for the engine and the increased price of you ordered the luxury group for your truck?
Buying at what I paid looks better every day because I think that I would have paid the same amount for the 2024. If I could convince my wife to get rid of the Cherokee and get a Maverick I would order another truck. This time I would get either a Tremor or the FX4. Which ever one has steel skid plates under it. I assume that the drivetrain is the same.

Not to worry, I won’t be canceling my ‘23 in favor of a 24. I was mainly wondering about the people who want the latest and greatest regardless of extra cost, because it’s possible that the last of the 23’s and 24’s could be delivered at the same
