I agree. My hauling needs are modest. You're not towing a horse trailer - you're towing a small fold up 4x8 that hauls plywood, furniture, appliances, a jetski, canoe, etc.
The vast majority of people do not need a truck that can haul 10,000+ lbs. Just something to run around on the weekend with that can haul small oversized loads.
- My travel folding power wheelchair.
- Occasionally my big fancy heavy home power wheelchair (full power seating tilt/recline/elevate/legs, lights, lithium, back up camera, USB charging, high speed 8.5 MPH 120 amp package, etc).
- A DC travel fridge.
- A cook station.
- A porta-potti.
- My office bag.
- Clothes and personal care items.
- If I can be sure of successfully deploying it on my own, some kind of car tent addon and a cot, or a small travel trailer.
- If I can work out the logistics, a solar "generator", with enough folable panels to support charging the Bolt at it's low rate of at least 8A or 12A @ 120V (960 to 1440 watts), plus running my laptop, lights, and similar.
For all that I'll be towing either a utility trailer or a small travel trailer, and I'll have a roof cargo rack with tie downs and a cover. I may also remove the passenger seat, and banish passengers to the rear seat.
This is all just an idea, and subject to being reworked.
