“Final Preparation” pizza tracker accuracy?

My Maverick has been setting in the destination rail yard for nine days, waiting for the final 30 mile transport to the dealer. Does anyone know if the “Final Preparation” on the Ford order tracking page reliably updates the same or at least the next day after the dealer signs for the delivery?

Not necessarily, it isn't that accurate at any point.

The person that does know when it arrives at the dealer is the dealer.

Unfortunately for me, my sales person is not much better than fifty fifty at answering texts and emails.

Call Ford mine was sitting on a railyard for a week. Dealer said it could be a month I called Ford and it was on a truck 30 minutes away.

Mine updated to final prep within an hour of arriving at the dealer. Probably depends on the dealer submitting something for it to update.

With my wife's car it sat in the rail yard for three weeks before finally being picked up for delivery to the dealer which was 10 miles away.

I think it is another YMMV situation.
My order never updated beyond "Shipped".
It stayed that way two weeks after I picked the truck up and then I could no longer track it - said contact dealer as truck had been delivered (or something like that).

That is weird. I know a lot of people report problems with the tracker, which is why I asked about the final prep. But so far, for me it has been accurate. The one exception was that it showed as in production about a week before it was built. But I have wondered if that was a pull parts out of inventory stage, preparing for actual production.

The rest of the story. The catalytic converter was stole at the railyard I think. Took dealer another week to get parts and fix it. 1800 miles on it now and loving it. Hybrid xlt lux moon roof Katzkinz retrax and alot more that was over $100.

That’s a great looking truck.

My truck showed in transit and the day it was delivered to the dealer it switched to final prep. So, doesn't make sense to me that it says final prep if it's sitting in a rail yard somewhere.

Maybe take a trip to the dealer and drive through the lot and see if it's sitting there?
