4k tow package trailer lights not working

MY trailer lights don't work. Took it to Autonation St. Pete and they said there was nothing wrong and that their simulator says everything is working.
Has anybody been able to get theirs fixed? Has Ford responded to any complaints? How about a lemon law lawsuit?

Grew up selling boats and boat trailers and this is a very common problem across the board. I've seen new boat trailers with issues and new trucks quite a bit. The first thing I would check is that it is indeed your truck and not the trailer. Grab a test light and hook it to a frame ground (I usually sneak it on the plug blade to make sure its not a bad ground if nothing happens) and test the 7 pin systematically for check each item (need a partner for brakes).

Basically what this guy shows-




If the harness checks out then it's time to troubleshoot the trailer. If it doesn't then take it back and show them your new test light skills and get the warranty job done right.

Enter vin on fords recall site there is a tsb for a wire left out of some harnesses with 4k tow pkg.

Not sure if a troll or "special"... considering there is an open recall for trailer wiring and googling "ford maverick trailer lights" gets you the recall as one of the first results...

The problem is the truck! Ford left off the wiring harness (minor detail).

I took it to the ford dealer, and they said the harness was there and not missing, but there is no voltage present on the running light pin. The only thing that works are the turn signals and the brake light-which are the same wires. Running lights, electric brake signal and probably the backup lights are not there? Yes, Ford needs to fix this. Paid for the towing package-not just during day light. The dealer says if they can't find the fix they will use another trucks harness and plug.

I had a recall notice for that I think and took my Mav to a dealer for the repairs even though I never tow a trailer my truck has the 4 k tow package.

Picked up my new 2025 hybrid AWD 4k tow package maverick in January and the trailer running lights don't work. Turn and brake lights work. Had to tow a trailer from PHX to CA and discovered them not working and had to run the emergency flashers while it was dark out. After thinking the prob was my trailer I finally bought a vehicle trailer connector light tester .

After reading this thread I'm PISSED the dealer sold me a new truck with a tow package without the lights working tomorrow morning they are going to get a not so nice visit from me.

Good call. The micro fuses are a little hard to find too.
