I finally have my 2023 Lariat with base audio. Android Auto works fine, and the icons are there for Spotify, maps, etc. However, unlike other Android Auto vehicles I've used I don't see the icon for the SiriusXM app. It plays fine if I access it via the phone, but does not appear on the Android Auto screen. Anyone been able to get this to show and be controlled via Android Auto as expected? Thanks!

Go into the Android Auto settings on your phone. Click customize launcher and make sure it is checked. It isn't by default.

It is checked. (But thanks for that info, I had not seen that setup screen before.) It has always worked on other vehicles, just not the Maverick.

It's the same system. When in doubt, reboot.

If you access it through Android Auto won't you be using data on your phone? The Lariat comes with SiriusXM as part of the Sync 3 system and will use the satellite antenna.

If you are already paying for it on another vehicle, you can also stream it via their app. Depending on where you live, it is cheaper than paying for a second sub.

OP states they have the base audio, so I'm guessing no Sync3 with SiriusXM. Lux only.

Yep you are probably right. I am enjoying SiriusXM- never had it before. Seems like after a month or so I am hearing the same songs so time to switch to another channel.

Enjoy mine as well. Love the Sync3 interface. Never tried the app so I don't know if it's supposed to work with Android Auto.

It doesn't come with the 3 month trial, which is what I activate every 3 months, lol.

Even though it was already checked when I looked here, I unchecked and then rechecked it. When I tried again in the truck later that day it showed properly. Thanks for the suggestion!
