People will definitely see my front turn signals during the day. I always signal, and I hate it when other peoples turn signals are so dim that you can’t even see them. (At least they’re trying though)

The change to a white running light instead of the yellow is an improvement IMO.

The tails wont melt your rods and cones but can be seen much better during the day compared to the halogens. The camera overexposes the brake lights, they aren’t white/red like the photo shows, just bright red, without the halo.

The backup and cargo lights are much better, I can see what’s behind me now.

Anyone else getting a stormtrooper vibe from that last photo? ...maybe the first one too? I think it might be that silver Ford badge tying it all together. .... and I'm loving it.

Looks great - thanks for sharing!

Ha! Thanks for the complement. Hadn’t thought of that before on mine.

Actually, the term Stormtrooper is being used for vehicles with black and white sheet metal. Usually a white SUV with a black roof.

You can’t unsee them once you’ve spotted one.
Why anyone would choose to make a white vehicle hotter in the summer due to a black roof is beyond me.
Thats why I bought a white Mav, it is so much cooler sitting in the sun than dark vehicles.

And, Colorado is offering a black plate with white lettering now, no “colorful” design on it.
It doesn’t clash with vehicles exterior colors.
People are switching in droves.
I will have one.

We still get the big nose zit here though.
Idiots.

AMEN!

Honestly - why can't we have this amazing paint on top of our vehicles yet? I'd sooner pay an extra charge for that magical voodoo concoction than clear coat or PPF.

I don't understand the point of switchbacks. Don't you have DRL's already? The rest I like.

Sorry if that comes off rude. Not my intention.

Not taking it as rude at all.

Do you mean LED DRL’s like the Lariat? Mines an XLT. The headlights are the DRLs. Switchbacks don’t even work on Lariats.

I run with my DRL/headlights turned off. Not gonna chance burning out a 1500$ assembly, I don’t care how long they claim they last.
Since my headlights are turned off you won’t see the white turn signals during the day, only at night.

Not worried about people not seeing me during the day, they’re either paying attention or they’re not. I.e. texting.

The reason I like switchbacks is that they burn white until you signal, then they switch to yellow.
I prefer the look of no amber on the front of my vehicles.
I have always switched to a silver coated bulb for my turn signals when possible just to eliminate the jaundice look.

Sorry for rambling, did I answer your question?

I didn't realize the switchbacks behave like that, very cool. I might pick some up now to get rid of the amber in the front. Have you gotten any hyper flash when your signal is on too long? I've seen a few reviews mention that, even though the description makes it a point to say 'NO HYPERFLASH'.

Now it makes sense to me. Thanks for clarifying. I was so confused as to why people would want both. I thought people doing this had the DRL setup on the top of the lights. So what does that portion of the headlight even do then? Anything? Makes a lot of sense to use switchbacks if your headlights are your DRL's.

Subaru loves to use their brights as DRL's just with a slightly lower current sent to them and they burn out frequently because of it. But yea, that's one thing I hate about these setups is the cost to replace them if just a single light has an issue. Same deal on my Tacoma (but dayum I love those DRL's on that thing).

Can’t say, haven’t sat at a LOOONG turn light yet.😊
Went driving a few minutes tonight, no hyper flashing on anything, they seem to be working as advertised.

BTW, I sure like these headlights. Best I’ve ever had. I always upgraded my bulbs with as highs lumen as I could get, longevity be damned. They were never as bright as these. The crispness and cut off is extremely good as well.

My aging eyes are thanking me.

Nope, that top portion is just wasted plastic on the non Lariats.
Lots of manufacturers do this now, only put the LEDs in the top models while the lower ones get nuthin. At least Ford didn’t mold the LED design pattern into the plastic like some other makers do to make it look”cool”. I remember my dad bought a RAV4 and we spent 15 minutes trying to get the “LED“ bars to light up. They didn’t have anything in them.

Good deal, thanks for the update. I think I am going to order a set of switchbacks and the reverse lights while im at it.

I've been thinking about these but I'm worried the front switchbacks will further blind people at night with people flashing their lights at me. Also hoping the rear taillights aren't too bright. People always go for brighter, but my understanding without seeing them in person is that these are really bright.

What do you think? Turn signal switchbacks blind on coming drivers at all? Too bright?

Every picture and video I see of these LEDs looks like it will melt metal. So they are tolerable and not insanely brighter?

I don’t think the tails are as bright as you might think.
I primarily bought them so as to avoid being rear ended. Instant on, and higher lumens, should help avoid that. I am not questioning keeping those at all.

The switchback turn signals seem pretty bright, brighter than the tails for sure.

I don’t know, if you forget to turn off your brights and blind an oncoming vehicle they don’t automatically crash. It annoys them, but it’s not debilitating.
These certainly aren’t as bright as high beams.

I don’t drive that much at night so only the darker winter months will see me out in lower light most of the time.

We have a lot of roundabouts where I live. I always signal my intention to continue around to other drivers. I don’t signal my exits because I’m not going to hit traffic while exiting the roundabout and they’re not going to hit me.

While in the roundabout I may choose to skip the first exit and continue on around, so, I signal left after passing each exit.
The reason I do this is to inform other drivers desiring to enter the roundabout ahead of me that I AM STILL CONTINUING MY ROUTE ALONG THE CIRCLE and I have the right of way.

Are they too bright? I guess it depends on your point of view. If someone hits me because they didn’t see my dim turn signal I‘m not going to be congratulating my self knowing that at least I never annoyed anyone with brighter turn signals.

If I drove at night often and started having a lot of people flash their high beams at me because of my flashers then yes, I would probably rethink this. Majority rules and all.

Who knows, I may experience this anyway, we’ll see.

I assume there are regulations concerning the legal lumens allowed for turn signals/marker lights. One would think that Lasfit would not
only be aware of these, but would also abide by them.

And yes, I understand the difference between “legal” and “right”.
HID’s were legal, were they right? I think they were, and are. I don’t begrudge someone using a more visable means of lighting on their vehicle.
