People will definitely see my front turn signals during the day. I always signal, and I hate it when other peoples turn signals are so dim that you can’t even see them. (At least they’re trying though)

The change to a white running light instead of the yellow is an improvement IMO.

The tails wont melt your rods and cones but can be seen much better during the day compared to the halogens. The camera overexposes the brake lights, they aren’t white/red like the photo shows, just bright red, without the halo.

The backup and cargo lights are much better, I can see what’s behind me now.

I hope to replace the front turn signal and rear tail/brake and back-up bulbs with leds at some point. The only down side to led tails is the lower temperature allows snow to accumulate while driving in a snowstorm.
I've used leds and switchbacks for years in my PT Cruisers. Switchbacks on front can be drls as they are brighter than std bulbs. On the rear they are amber turn signals AND white back-up lights.
Only conflict on rear is reversing while parallel parking, but amber overrides white...but I don't parallel park very often.

Ahhh, gotta say I like those backups and silver Ford emblem. Kudos. Both will work great on my Iconic Silver Mav. I'm not interested in the rest of the bulbs as I run my headlights all the time and love amber all the time. LOL. Here's hoping if and when those $1500 a pop housings hit the bricks there will be some aftermarket alternative for a few shekels less or some industrious person has the wherewithal to rebuild them.

A few have mentioned the silver ford emblem.

It just the stock silver script on the Blue Oval with a white overlay decal and

a black cap over that.

Are all the rear lights just bulbs or?
Do they have to have load resistors for them?
Where did you get them?

The company is called Lasfit.

The two bulbs on each side for the brake/turn signal are replaced by an LED module.

You will need 2 packages of 2ea to do both tails.

The back up bulb is replaced by a smaller diode unit. That is a separate unit.

They all have resistors built in, no hyper flashing.

You can get the whole set here:

However, you have a Lariat so the switchbacks would be wasted money because they don’t work with your LED drl’s.

I ordered the bulbs separately because I didn’t want the front side marker lights, too much work to install for too little gain IMO.

Use the 10% code no matter what you do.

Just observed my lights in the daytime.

Looked at them from about an intersection away, offset about the same as the opposite lane would be.

Did the same from the distance and angle a stop sign would be.

Definitely not too bright and definitely more noticeable than the stock halogens.

As an aside, last night I went out to look at my light reflection in some local storefront windows. On my way I came on a 2way stop in my hood which people often run.

A Jeep was there at the stop sign. As he turned, he cut the corner not expecting anyone to be there. Apparently he didn’t notice my headlights but when he saw the turn signal he stopped in his tracks. Had he not done that we both would have had to swerve to avoid his hitting me.

Just waited for a 2+ minute turn light. At the end my turn signal started hyperflashing.

Stopped after I turned it off and back on again.

Not happy about that.
I’ll keep everyone posted as to how these are working.

Update

Havent really had any issues with hyperflashing since my last report.

I had wondered what happens if you need to activate the warning flashers for any length of time.

I had an unexpected test however. Not sure if it proves anything.

I took my Mav to the dealer for its first oil change. There were a lot of other trucks waiting in line for service so I was about 8 or 9. The guy said it would be a 2 hour wait. However, the dealer had turned every trucks flashers on so mine was going to also.

Fine. I went home and waited. I didn’t know what I was going to find when I got the truck back.

I don’t know how long it sat there flashing the turns. I assume it was at least a half hour, if not more.

Afterward they seem to be working fine so I guess there must be some design in them that simply shuts off the power or something before they melt down?

Update on the hyper flash as well - the other weekend I sat at an unusually long light waiting to turn left. After about 4 or 5 minutes I did get some hyper flash. The green blinking arrow on my display started to hyper flash (2x speed), however I don't know if the actual turn signal was hyper flashing, or just the indicator on the dash.

Looks great! Could you possibly add what part numbers from Lasfit you used for each position? I'm lazy and don't want to trust what pops up on Amazon lol. TIA

About the hyper flashing, Amazon's page for the LASFIT 4257 Switchbacks do state:

"Since these bulbs built-in Intelligent Temperature Control, if you use them for a long time (a few vehicles maybe 2-5 minutes, it depends on year/make/model and temperature) may happen hyper flash, please turn off and cool 1-2 minutes, they will work normally again."

That makes sense that it is temperature related as well. I was at a light for maybe 2 mins the other day and got the hyper flash, but it was also like 110 degrees out. The first time I experienced the hyper flash it was probably ~80 degrees and took 4-5 mins.

Bought some of the newer front turn signals and some side marker leds.

I don’t think the new turn signals are any dimmer or not. I was going to take a comparison picture with the old and new ones but I honestly couldn’t see any difference in brightness.

I bought them to avoid the hyperflashing. Haven’t used them much yet but I will report on them later.

Since I found out that you don’t have to take apart the under body panel, or fender well liner, to replace the side marker bulbs like one of the members here told us we had to do, (I don’t listen to him any more), I bought some led side markers.

Popping out the marker was easy. These are much brighter than the incandescent bulbs.

The smoke tint I have is pretty dark. These led bulbs light them up very brightly now.
