Dealer offers Simoniz GlassCoat…worth it?

My 23 should be here next month so everything I’m reading in the posts about ceramic coating is something I’m considering for my 23. My dealer offers the Simoniz GlassCoat with lifetime warranty for $1799. I found only one post on here that mentioned this GlassCoat and that member only paid $795 at his dealer so now I’m wondering which somewhat affordable coating different members like? Anybody have the GlassCoat?

Apparently that was the most expensive he mentioned first. There’s a $695 ceramic coating available, no warranty. I’m waiting to hear which brand.

Skip the dealer applied "ceramic coating" and find a local detailer that will do it correctly. Dealerships are notorious for just slapping on a ceramic coating without doing the proper prepping prior to application. The longevity of your coating is only as good as the prep work. That particular coating is a 2-3 year coating at best if you properly maintain it.

I'll glasscoat and ceramic it for the low, low price of $999 with a lifetime warranty. I also have a bridge that used to be in London but is now in Arizona for sale at $499.

I would run from ANYTHING a car dealer offered for paint protection. All are overpriced garbage.

As mentioned above...if you are really serious about a long term protection care/package, find a local, well regarded private detailer, and explore your options.

That’s been my motto in the past but the ease of getting it done and not having to figure out ride logistics is somewhat appealing. I think I should definitely go back to my no add one motto.
