Ok, so I'm not mad or anything, but what if (for years) every time someone was an a-hole someone said, "Dude that's really a Luke move."? Do you think you'd get a little tired of it?

My very kind wife's name is Karen, and she won't even give her real name at Starbucks or fast food places anymore, because people really do treat her differently now. There are a million women named Karen. Let 'em have their name back.

LOL! Tell your wife no ill intent toward. Her. I know some very nice Karen's also. I do not know you coined that term, but it is great. Ive lived 50 years with someone constantly saying I am your father and stupid Star Wars references as if they are somehow being original. I don't let it bother me though.

OP, if you cannot return the item and you don’t want it, file a chargeback and move on. Filing a complaint with the BBB is a waste of time.

I tend to agree, however there's no guarantee he'll get his money back even with a credit card dispute.

Plus, some people do look at the BBB when considering doing business with someone. Other people might want to know about their practice/policy before ordering from them. Isn't that the whole point of the BBB? To find the better businesses?

Even if he doesn’t win, he will get the attention of the owner who did sell him something other than what he ordered. He should have accepted a return and should fix his product listing.

Come to think of it, everyone I have heard call someone a "Karen" is actually more of a "Karen" than anyone they are calling that name. Including the guys in this thread that think they have to involve themselves in ever conversation.

Sorry she is dealing with that my man. The world is stupid right now and these hosers don't get it.

I recently ordered the hood deflector with the bump from Direct Factory Parts .com. The sent me the version without the bump and told me that the one with the bump only works on the 2023+ Maverick?!?! I told them they are wrong since the one with the bump came out in 2021. They refused to send me the correct part and claim it is an issue with my VIN being a 2022 MY. I told them I was willing to take my chance that it doesn't fit and asked them to send it anyway and correct their mistake, they refused. I have filed a complaint with BBB and left a google review explaining my situation. Hope I can help other members by bringing this to the communities attention.

Long story short, don't waste your time, money, or energy on this useless company. You're not going to get what you ordered and they refuse to make it right.

The one on the left is an older version and I think it caused the hood to shake at highway speeds. So they got rid of the bump and kept it flush on the newer version. The stock photo still shows the old version but the part number should reflect the newer version which is why it's confusing. The company you bought from are misinformed and they should do a better job at handling this situation. But yeah, the older version with the bump does not exist anymore..

I appreciate it. For the most part she ignores it, but for some reason lately it's bothering her more. And things that bother her bother me.

I think it's like if you have a scar on your cheek. You never think about it until someone says something, and after a couple of people mention it you think everyone is looking at it even when they're not.

Found both versions displayed, checked the part numbers. (They are one letter off) and checked two other FORD OEM websites...
Sorry, they DID NOT rip you off.
The one you want is only available for 2023s. Its listed in both sites. They sent you the approprate one for 2022.

Sorry for your luck bud, tough lesson learned.

Hitting the homepage right away made me feel,....not great about the website. Then the return policy is littered with language that basically means there aren't any returns.

Contact Credit card company and dispute the charge as not getting what you paid for and they want pay them.

This. The old style causes major hood shake.

Easily fixable by adjusting the hood bumpers, and rear seal.
Glad I got this one as it actually keeps bugs and rocks off the windshield. I had a rock crack my windshield 12 days after I bought my truck, now nothing hits it.

This model has been discontinued though, I'm not sure why many websites still show the photo when they are selling the new model.

I have a 2022 and ordered the deflector straight from Ford. The one I received does not have the bump, and I've been happy with it for the past year.
