Did an oil change a couple of days ago at 67k miles. 10k miles since last oil change but oil life monitor still showed 25%.
I'm seeing oily wet area where the transmission and engine meet. It may just be bolts needing tightening but the bolts require a special socket. No big deal or should I get it taken care of?

I suppose you could wipe it off and keep an eye on it. Do you see any oil on the ground where you park?

I would get some degreaser on it today and check in 2-3 days. If wet then re-tighten bolts and respray degreaser. If it continues then continue escalating

I agree with previous comments. It's not real bad but heck no more miles than that I wouldn't expect thats normal. Definitely monitor it on regular basis. She's just getting broke in good !

No drips because the bottom felt cover is dry. I did not wipe it. I will monitor and compare if it gets any worse at the next oil change.

I assume that your Maverick is 18 months old...I curious how you got 67, 000 miles in such a short time. Is this a work truck?

You change your own or got it done at a shop? Oil looks to be coming from higher up? Check oil filter and see if theres any signs of leaks there. But yeah, wipe off clean and check after 1k miles.

How on earth are you putting that amount of miles on a 2022?
Maybe you need a new drain plug or gasket?

Personal truck I use for work as a service tech.

Yes, I do my own oil change. Oil filter and Fumoto valve are clean. That wet spot is nowhere near the oil pan and filter.

I would not touch it and take it under warranty. There is a slow leak and it's not normal. If you tighten those bolts they can tell by the witness marks on them and could use that against you on the warranty coverage.

Silver23 has a good point, take advantage of the warranty before you exceed it.

Are you still under warranty at 67k miles?

not me.
@BoboysTruck
oh crap, I think it's 5 years 60k. I would go in and ask for an exception, I had the same problem on a Lexus and they did the job for free with 4k over the warranty as a curtesy.
