Ford is probably thinking the Argentinean market is better suited with the Hybrid as a gateway vehicle to the brand and electric vehicles. Whereas here, some of us are former F-150, Ranger, and Explorer owners that moved to the Maverick, as it is the right fit for our current needs. Based on the media when it was introduced, the Maverick was targeted to "those that never considered or owned a truck". It is likely cutting into some of their upmarket offerings.

Read this today - 2022 Ford Maverick Launches In Argentina As Import Pivot Continues Like all Mavericks, the Argentinian version of the pickup is produced at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico" Sure would like to get a build date for mine before they start shipping to Argentina.... Oh but they are just making XLT and Lariat for that market and only Eco Boost. Great.

Now I have 2 trucks on order and about to get the " were sorry your out of luck this year" notification. Glad they can export more hybrids tho ......

Yes I've read that article How can Ford explain to the American customer who has been waiting a Year AND A Half for their Hybrid Maverick that you are going to sell your Maverick to Argentina. I guess ford forgot the company was started in America but maybe they are Not a American first company anymore. So sad What ever happened to AMERICA FIRST . Ford that's just not right SHAME ON YOU .. I am on 3 or 4 automotive forums. The lack of even third grade spelling and grammar is apparent. Most of the time, BRAKE and BREAK are interchangeable, even in the same post(s). Thru, threw and through seem to be a challenge for most posters.
I often wonder,"How the hell can someone with a lack of a grade school education even afford a vehicle." Then, I hear college students talk about getting "orientated", and I understand.

Argentina's GDP is 2% that of the US's and the per-capita is 15% of the US's making the Maverick essentially their F-150 in terms of cost-to-income. Ford isn't shifting enough hybrids to Argentina to make a difference.
