Is mine one of the 4? Can't imagine missing me with my license plate.Mine is one of 4 I see regularly in Buffalo NY. The municipalities around here also have a lot of them that I see at their various county/town events
Wait - you live in Frisco, and you're actually suggesting a fellow Maverick owner take his eyes off the traffic to notice you and wave? You Maverick folks in Texas, when I spot you half a mile away and am blinking my brights and waving like a maniac, could ya at least be Texas polite and give me a quick blip of the lights, maybe a wave? Heck, flip me off, I would settle for that.
Signed,
Lonely Mav Owner in Texas
I've got 25 years experience driving these roads. Preston was one lane when I got here! Enjoy CP, beautiful area.Wait - you live in Frisco, and you're actually suggesting a fellow Maverick owner take his eyes off the traffic to notice you and wave?
For those who don't know it, Frisco is one of the fastest-growing communities in the US. They actually have decent city planners, and have done a better job than most to anticipate this growth, but it's still overwhelming the capacity of "services" - most notably roads and highways. Add to that the influx of a LOT of "new to the area" people, and you've got a LOT of unpredictable driving. I've had more near-misses in Frisco than the rest of north Texas combined. (So I "fixed" that by moving to Cedar Park, outside of Austin - one of the other fastest-growing areas in the country! You'd think I would learn!)
But, hey @FriscoTXJoe, I'll still take my life in my hands and wave to you if I see you!![]()
I'm starting to see a lot around here as well. Always wave at them but not a single one has waved back yet.I am starting to see more Mavericks!! No matter who is driving we all have the same reaction...a big smile, pointing, thumbs up,etc!!!
The Maverick does look a little lower, which is deceptive. With the ground clearance and the headroom, you think it should be much taller. But the lack of a frame means the cabin sits just at the height of the clearance. No frame/drive shaft to add needed height.Got an up close experience at the store the other day, a wild Mav was parked next to the wife's Highlander. Eyeball comparison the Mav looked lower but a little longer than the Highlander and almost as wide.
