2700 mi Road Trip with Our New Lariat

Thanks for the Add! We recently downsized to a patio home. My 71 Ranchero daily driver was too big for the garage. I decided the new Maverick was the best option on the market. Ordered 9/16/22; took delivery Mon, 5/1/23. Had a clear bra installed and Bullet Bed Liner sprayed in. 5/5/23 drove from Arvada, CO to Windsor, CA for a week of vineyard touring & back to Arvada. It performed flawlessly!

Today I fit my 30 yr old Performance Bike Xport adjustable pickup bed bicycle rack to the front FlexBed notch. I secured it with 4, 3/16” Bimini Ball Lock Pins. Tied the Recumbent to the front floor loops and took it out on the highway. It rode steady as a rock at 65 mph.

(The front wheel is strapped to the rack bar)
I expect the Maverick and I are going to get along very well!

No, but you made me curious so I used Google Maps. I'm 3.8 miles from a Windsor Drive.

When my truck had about 3K We took a 2.5'ish mile road trip and it went perfectly. About 37 MPG and no trouble of any sort.

Please tell us that's mud in front of the right rear tire and not scrape marks.

Maverick seems up to whatever task you throw at it. Beautiful truck and you made right choice. Did you keep the Ranchero? If restored, that thing is probably pure gold about now.
