That's outstanding freeway efficiency....you must stay close to the speed limit! I typically get 30-31, but I'm usually between 75-85mph.

Also, consider treating your windshield with RainX, it makes a HUGE difference in heavy downpours....

That’s excellent fuel mileage. I’ve taken mine on numerous trips to the beach on open roads and 30 is the most I’ve ever seen. That’s usually with the cruise set at at least 80.

I was running 73 to 74. I never understood how you get there quicker driving 80 when you have to stop for those tickets, 😜 . I drove to get to the job for 20 years. Sometimes 1000 miles to get there. I was paid to drive but not for tickets. A co-worker called me old man because I drove the speed limit. He was fired when he got his 2nd ticket on the job. There is nowhere I need to be to drive 85 but if you feel good doing it that's fine.
Around the Columbus freeways, that's the speed to keep up with traffic. Going slower is more dangerous. When I'm on rural roads with no traffic, I also just go a couple above the limit, and can get 33-34 in the summer.

Rural areas still patroled pretty tight, but the "big 3" are just as wacked out as every big city America. I avoid it as much as I can....

Wow. That’s great mileage.
I just drove 3 & 1/2 hrs back from Corpus Christi today and my mileage read 31.6 mpg.
That included driving thru about 14 little towns.
Mostly 65-75 with a little bit of 80mph when I hit Hwy 130 tollway.

I am More than happy with the gas mileage that my ecoboost Maverick gets and I Love the zippy performance when I put the hammer down.

Hybrid owners;
God bless your little hearts. Enjoy your great mileage as I haul ass past you at max gross weight. (just kidding. don’t get all pissed. you have a great truck too).

That is absolutely fantastic gas mileage. Thank you for sharing the trip details.

Difference in fuel economy between 65mph and 75mph is significant with my Maverick. Highway speeds are so fast here out West (80mph); it's never at it's best in terms of fuel economy. (I did rountrip to casa grande over 200 miles, and averaged 35+mpg, but that was heavy traffic limiting speeds to about 65mph most of the way) I've not had my EB Maverick east of Arizona yet.. Just allot of south of the border driving these first 18 months of ownership. Due for another good cross-country US road trip myself.

(Metro-Charlotte NC highways are not fun at all, especially during rush hour. I fly-in to Charlotte serveral times a year, grab a rental, then get an instant awakening as I navigate metro-charlotte and then continue on to I-77 north over the ridge until the merge with I-81, always in the late evening. It's brutal compared to the wide open well spaced driving of the southwest)
