Faded trim on Maverick restored with Cerakote ceramic trim restorer

The black trim on the Maverick seems to be weathered and faded, rough winter here in NL . I used Cerakote ceramic trim restorer results are excellent , have a few pics. I also used the rapid ceramic paint sealant excellent product as well.

I recommend using this product for plastic trim. Protects and makes it look like new without the greasy feeling of others. I've used it on my wife's Santa Fe plastic trim since new and planning to use on the Maverick.

Yeah 303 FTW. I have had better results with the Marine one

Formula Solution Back to Black - will put it back to original black...Best I have ever used for black trim..not for rubber - Expensive at $16 to $25+ for a 20 oz bottle but 1 bottle will last for years. Amazon

I used Cerakote over a year ago. To my eye looks the same now as when 1st applied. Been waiting for it to wear off so i could fix a streaky spot that i missed.

Guess I'll wait another year.

Cerakote products are top shelf and reasonably priced given what they do. Good product.

I have some streaking in a small part as well. It wasn’t the products fault. All blame us mine. I want to correct that with hopefully another coat

I can not say it enough, Cerakote is amazing on black trim. I am at about a year with my application and it is still blacker than when I bought it. I will take pics next wash.

Wow, faded trim already. I have one of the early built hybrid, and don’t seem to have an issue. However, I did put some love in my XL after replacing it with a 23 Lariat that didn’t work out.
Got the carwash to add a protective treatment and they treated the trim and it looked better than new, lol.
After another wax job on top of the treatment the whole Truck is the best its ever looked. Still not the awesome Red of the Lariat, but I am looking at my truck like I did the first couple of months of ownership. Dang, starp, shiny looking ride to be proud of.

I used to use 303, until I used Cerakote. 303, I wouldbhave to do once a month on my Flex. I used the Cerakote trim restore on it in May of 2022. Nov of 22 it looked better than the 303 did without reapplying. One thing less I had to do before trading it in for my Maverick.

The Flex wasn't garage kept, and was a daily driver.

I used Cerakote to restore my old Ranger's plastic that was so faded it'd gone to light gray, did a spectacular job of restoration. The only advice I'd give is to buy the Pro kit, that is the solution in a bottle instead of the box of little napkins. They're just annoying. After that Ranger experience, when it comes time to do the Mav some day I will definitely spring for the bottle.
