You can hose it out, vacuum it, use a leaf blower etc. It's stain resistant , won't mold or mildewit’s plastic.

The bed rug is much easier on the knees. Highly recommend it.Being easy on my (getting older) knees is the main draw for me. I keep a kneeling cushion under the backseat for climbing into the bed. I've got the drop-in bedliner now. I'm thinking of adding the universal bedrug atop my drop-in. Bedrug advertises this can be done, and instead of velcro, you drill some holes in raised ribs of the drop-in and attach the Bedrug with plastic pushpins/anchors.
Gotcha, I'm not saying it isn't durable. It just seems like it would make the bed noticably harder to clean. One of the main benefits of our maverick over our explorer is you can throw a bunch of dirty shit in the back of the maverick, and then wash it out very easily. Whereas with an SUV, you have to scrub and clean the fabric which obviously takes more time. But maybe this material is good at repelling filth or somethingI'm retired and also have a Ford f150 if I need to haul gravel, dirt etc. I wanted something to protect from scratches and soft to sit on and easy on the knees. The material is very durable, do a little research.
Were the areas already cut out for the cubby doors, or did you have to do them yourself? I've bought one for my Maverick when it gets here, and want to know how much of a problem was it for you. Your final product is outstanding. Bravo ZuluYou can hose it out, vacuum it, use a leaf blower etc. It's stain resistant , won't mold or mildew
It is not cut out but it has the outline showing where to cut. You just have to take your time and go to you tube and watch some install videos . yes i know that. it seems people think it really just a rug like you would have your house. i plan on getting one if ford ever believes me worthy of scheduling. You can hose it out, vacuum it, use a leaf blower etc. It's stain resistant , won't mold or mildew
I totally agree, I've read that it can take the punishment of, gravel, mulch ect. But if I ever have to haul something like that I will just throw a tarp on top of it and get to work.To answer a few questions I saw:
Yes I am OCD but I wash and detail my truck inside and out everyday because I'm a professional driver.
I installed mine in stages over time. I bought an extra roll of Velcro and I used a razor blade to make the cutouts. It's also really easy to use a punch to knock a hole in anywhere you have to put a bolt through like for tie downs etc.
The regular bed rug liner like I have does have padding on the back but it's not nearly as thick as the impact liner. The impact liner is more like an anti fatigue mat. I'm sure I will eventually replace the floor piece with an impact liner.
Yes water and stuff does get in but it dries very quickly and the padding is open cell so the water just goes straight through and into the drains.
I don't haul mulch sand gravel or any bulk products like that in the back of my truck because shoveling it out and loading it in destroys the vehicle. I grew up on the farm and we had a 58 Apache truck that we used for stuff like that and it looked like a raisin. I prefer to use a cheap 4x8 trailer for hauling stuff like that.
It certainly not for everyone but the first time I had to crawl across it on my hands and knees it was worth the money lol
It's a plastic type material kind of like a boat has and has great padding under it. Feels very soft and is tough and durable from the reviews I have readyes i know that. it seems people think it really just a rug like you would have your house. i plan on getting one if ford ever believes me worthy of scheduling.
I agree. Seems we have people debating about two different products. The bed rug as I understand it is a padded rug similar to a carpet but made for outside use. Much thicker than indoor/outdoor carpeting. The impact 'rug' is a plastic mat similar to the weather proof floor mats in material, but thicker. Can anyone articulate the difference between the Bedrug "Impact" and the Bedding "XLT" bed mats? I'm thinking of getting a Bedrug, but I'm not sure I understand the difference between the two. Seems like the "Impact" had a TPO covering, while the "XLT" has a polypropylene covering. I definitely do not know the difference, or why it might matter. Price seems to be identical. Thoughts?
Nice, I was told by bedrug customer service that there was no plans of making a full one for the maverick. I guess they changed there mind. Maybe alot of people interested. Oh well I had my truck for almost a year. I had the bed liner installed the day i picked it up. Enjoy your truck. It finally got warm enough to install my Bedrug full liner in my Maverick today. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
