I’ve had my Maverick about 15 months now and still happy. I tend to swap out cars every one to two years so I have been getting itchy. I thought about a Bronco before I fell into my Maverick. The local dealer had a few on his so I went and took a test drive. Didn’t last two blocks. Took it back and said no way. Drove like crap and noisy. Took a Ranger out for giggles and it wasn’t bad at all. It still wasn’t as good driving as my Maverick. The itch is gone.

How about an upgrade to another Maverick? Order times are down and MSRP is still a good deal. And, it's a good time to trade in.

Good. Hope it waits until 2024 order banks open and you should have Maverick choices

I understand your logic but I still prefer my Ranger over my wife’s Maverick. Probably because of driving it for a year before getting the Maverick. It’s close but I wouldn’t give my FX4 Ranger up for it unless I was desperate for better mileage.

Agree.

Likely additional trim levels and packages for 2024. But of course price increases as well.

Value of your Maverick should remain high relative to market and will offset higher price 2024.

I used to trade about every two years, but as I got a little older, I am happy to keep a truck a lot longer. They seem to drive a whole lot better when they are paid for. I have been driving my Ranger for over nine years and will keep driving it until my Maverick arrives.

No doubt about that. I just sold my 22 XLT Ecoboost after several months and was able to get $5K above the MSRP. My 23 Lariat hybrid came in, so no longer needed the EB. Crazy market now.

I love all 3 of my rides, but each... serves a purpose. I am most often in the Mav. Great mileage for a daily driver and general use for most things I need. I do have a Tremor coming, but... its for a purpose. Its not going to be a Daily, but its also not for the more extreme OHV trips like rock climbing or shallow water fjording, either. Its meant more for driving through fields and basic woodland trails on mostly flat land where I think it would be ideal.

I will say though, I am waiting to see if Ford eventually does an AWD hybrid and waiting to see what happens with the "Maverick Lightning" thing as well. The render on the link is subtle but nice. Maybe then I might consider trading the one I have now for the upgrade.

Wait and get a 2025 Mav. That's probably when you will see the mid cycle refresh.

I would be curious as to the trim level Bronco you drove. I have not been in one yet, but I also have yet to see a single review describe the drive as crappy or noisy.

Which Bronco was it? My wife’s Bronco (2.3L 10spd 4dr Badlands non-Sasquatch with Lux and Hard Top) is scheduled for May. We haven’t had the chance to sit in a similar one but we ordered it since she loves the look of it. High package and above have extra sound deadening and we opted for the optional hardtop sound deadening as well
Her lifted Santa Fe with all terrain tires is not quiet or refined by any means, but any input is appreciated!

I first drove the 4 Door Sasquatch. That is the one we got out of the fastest. Noisy, drove horrible, not sure if it was the tires but a definite vibration in the steering wheel. I drove a 2 Door Black Diamond with the hard top next and it was better but it didn’t drive near as well as the Maverick. I know two different creatures but I figured the Broncos would be quieter and possibly my expectations were not reasonable. Just not for me.

Broncos are Jeep competitors and I would expect them to drive about the same- great off-road, crappy on-road.

Did it drive better than a Wrangler……yes a little. Take my thoughts on it as a grain of salt. I knew right off I would never be happy with it. In comparison on my current vehicles it drove crappy. My 2500HD Duramax is quieter to me and drives smoother. Just My opinion and that counts for nothing.
