Broncos are Jeep competitors and I would expect them to drive about the same- great off-road, crappy on-road.
And I would say you are right

Wait and get a 2025 Mav. That's probably when you will see the mid cycle refresh.
Man I hope we don't have to wait that long to get some new interior and exterior color options on the XLT.

I love all 3 of my rides, but each... serves a purpose. I am most often in the Mav. Great mileage for a daily driver and general use for most things I need. I do have a Tremor coming, but... its for a purpose. Its not going to be a Daily, but its also not for the more extreme OHV trips like rock climbing or shallow water fjording, either. Its meant more for driving through fields and basic woodland trails on mostly flat land where I think it would be ideal.

I will say though, I am waiting to see if Ford eventually does an AWD hybrid and waiting to see what happens with the "Maverick Lightning" thing as well. The render on the link is subtle but nice. Maybe then I might consider trading the one I have now for the upgrade.
Why won't you daily the tremor and get rid of the hybrid? The biggest benefit of the hybrid is fuel economy. But you will never ever save enough money on gas dailying the hybrid and garaging the tremor to make up for the cost of both vehicles (as opposed to just dailying the tremor and selling the hybrid).

In short, I am not the only driver so both will get driven regularly regardless. The hybrid will be the one that gets driven almost daily where the other will get driven three to four days a week even when not needing to go certain places. It also means not having to share just the one or waiting for the other driver in the house to get back from wherever :)

I’ve had my Maverick about 15 months now and still happy. I tend to swap out cars every one to two years so I have been getting itchy. I thought about a Bronco before I fell into my Maverick. The local dealer had a few on his so I went and took a test drive. Didn’t last two blocks. Took it back and said no way. Drove like crap and noisy. Took a Ranger out for giggles and it wasn’t bad at all. It still wasn’t as good driving as my Maverick. The itch is gone.
Maybe test drive a Bronco Sport? That would most likely be more road-friendly then it’s bigger brother.

I suspect there is a huge difference in how a Bronco drives, sounds and feels based on trim. Especially roof and wheel options. But in the end it is a brick on wheels. And the Sasquatch package on the road would be the noisiest possible trim.

I still have a burning lust for a pure electric Bronco 2-door with a hardtop, and I hope Ford satiates me in the next few years. I'd get the smallest on-road tires possible, and the Outer Banks trim for on-road comfort. Even better would be a 2-door BEV Bronco with a micro-bed in back. That two door is 174" long - two feet shorter than the Maverick whale I'm driving. Well, I'd really like a Defender 90, but it would bankrupt me.

I strongly suspect 75% or more of Broncos never leave pavement, but that's a complete WAG by me. Just like 75% of trucks (another complete WAG) never have anything in the bed that wouldn't easily fit in a CUV hatch.

I dismissed the Ranger review as irrelevant, because the new Ranger arrives this year. No insult intended and not trying to be snarky, but it's yesterday's news unless you can't wait for the new one. It's like test driving a Tocoma when the new one gets announced next week - who cares unless you're buying used or leftovers?

They seem to drive a whole lot better when they are paid for.

I literally laughed out loud when I read this line - to the point my wife stopped her TV show to ask "What was so funny?"

Took my Mav off pavement for first time today. Did great just a few places where I had to dodge around some rocky points that might have taken out an oil pan or other low point. Yes it was a gravel road but it was a lot rougher coming up that hill than it looks going back down.
