My daily drivers for years have been full-size crew cab pickups with 8' beds. My wife kids me when I park my Maverick out in truck parking in parking lots. So used to parking far out for easy in/out that I just don't think about parking where the cars park.
It is nice not to have to worry about that, right? Like most folks with a new vehicle, I do worry about getting the Maverick dinged. Funny how yin and yang works . . . old vehicle - couldn't care less where i park; new - "I should park far enough away so I need a tram to get into the store".

My daily drivers were 5 regular cab rangers since 1989. I drove my mustang for fun in the summer. I had a first year neon I bought from a family member and drove a little before I sold it.

I have had some struggles getting used to my mav. It's wider is the most obvious thing.

I got the xlt, fx4. The other night right in front of the courthouse, I ran over a curb on a narrow street turning right. Both wheels in the grass. No traffic, but practicing on a tight turn to stay in my lane.

Anybody else having to learn the way a new type of vehicle drives?
not the width but parking forward I can be a little closer

Turning radius is my only gripe but yeah, you gotta get use to that short front nose. I find myself parking way too far back most of the time.
I'm coming from a 2017 Nissan Frontier, which was smallish but steered about as well as a large barge. I love the turning radius on the Maverick.

I am treating the Mav, like all my other trucks (Used Rangers, as if they were NEW).
So most people riding with me, automatically ask to be "Dropped off at the Door".
:p

Yes. My daily driver is a Chevy Bolt, so when I drive the Maverick it feels HUGE.

What your trying to say there is a size difference 🤔⁉. What is it is the Maverick smaller is it bigger please let me know I traded in my Z71 Chevy Silverado crew cab for my Maverick and I didn't notice any difference ? Just that I got twice the gas mileage of my Silverado now you got me curious?? ⁉🤔🤥

My wife and I got used to parking the behemoth C2500HD waaaay out in the parking lot because it was so non-maneuverable (and so long it took about 1 1/4 parking spaces. We got used to the extra walking, so we just kept doing it when we got the Maverick... But yeah, my kids and grandkids all ask to be let out at the door... Sigh.

My two other vehicles are a 2010 Chevy Tahoe and a 2020 Mazda MX-5 Club. I never know what the hell I'm doing lol. I do notice that I could pull into parking spaces a bit further in the Mav.

It’s footprint is very similar to my coupe, so I’m very comfortable driving it 😎

I had a 2006 Frontier and this statement is 100% accurate lol. People don’t know bad turning radius until they drive one of those. With that being said a few months later I still short park in the front often. I may never get used to it lol.

Oh wow and I personally think the turning radius is awesome. I had 2017 Frontier and they are known being pretty bad... definitely comes to perspective. 👍😊
