Anybody else have trouble with the tailgate refusing to open occasionally?
No not at all but cables are different lengths ? And I see no adjustments.

Maybe give it a good push in first? I know that was a thing with my old truck. It wouldn't open until you gave it a shove and heard a pop from the latches fully closing.

I tried that and the key. When attempting to turn the key it was springy/spongy so I stopped. I took the panel off and there was an abundance of dirt so I blew that away and adjusted it a bit so we'll see how that works. Of my 16,000 miles probably 12,000 was on dusty roads so.....

My problem was twofold.
First, it looks like there was some overspray from LineX, which was causing the unlock mechanism to not completely disengage.
Second, we had gotten a piece of mulch in the latch mechanism.
Note that there is over spray in the latching mechanism as well. I used a small screwdriver to scrape away the over spray from the unlock switch, so it could move freely.
Working fine now.
