How long do you have to wait to apply to new vehicle?

From one of my previous posts...

Unless you religiously clean your vehicle then just stay away from ceramic coatings. They require frequent cleanings before the coating tends to "clog up" and you lose the hydrophobic properties. Ceramic coatings do offer insane glossiness and make it easier to clean the vehicle. Your "ceramic sprays" are nothing more than a spray wax with just enough SiO2 in it to label as a "ceramic" product. Purely marketing gimmick that many manufacturers have jumped on. There are some very DIY friendly true ceramic coatings on the market if you're interested. DPC Flashback and DPC T9 are pretty good and have minor filling capabilities so you don't really have to go full paint correction (compounding/polishing) if you don't want to. A brand new truck off the lot shouldn't need full paint correction as long as you haven't taken it through the scratch-o-matic tunnel wash yet. A good contact wash followed by chemical decon (iron remover) and mechanical decon (clay bar) should be sufficient before applying a cermaic coating. Another good option is a good spray sealant. Your best bang for the buck is Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine. You can even follow it up with Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax for another sacrificial layer of protection.

My 2 cents is IF you use a good 5 yr. ceramic liquid, do it yourself. This can be done for under $200 and does provide a nice shine and easy to clean. Mine has only been on 6 months but did come with a spray for after car washes. Have not used it yet and will wait a few more months before trying it. Don't think it's worth spending $800 to have it done and not sure about a $300 for a spay on ceramic detailing. For the $800 would have had a very good film professionally applied to the front and fenders. But hey, that's a lot of money to spend to make it look pretty. My feeling if it ever got marked, dinged, scratched up that badly, would have the truck repainted. This is just my feelings and everyone's differ.

I've been very happy with Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax (spray bottle). I do a dry application on the whole truck every 4 months and just did an additional application on the hood and roof after the recent storms.

I am also looking for a "new age wax". I am considering Mother's 1-step clay bar ceramic product for use on Area 51 paint. Has anyone tried this one or compared it to other easy on products?
BTW are recommendations different for paints like Area 51 as compared to the metallic paints with a clear coat?

If you're looking to go the cheap "ceramic" spray route, then Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions is good and easy to use. People also recommend Technicians Choice TEC582. I personally use Dinowax Serum Boost. All the ceramic sprays seem to work good and easy to use. But yeah, it's not a true ceramic but gets the job done in spray form.

I decided to use a hybrid ceramic. It will last a few months in our climate. I'm ok with reapplying it. It looks great. Easy to apply. Even over the plastic trim

I got ceramic applied. Today I washed the truck for the first time ever, and the water beaded right off. The bird crap came off with just the sprayer on the hose.

+1 for Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0. That stuff has been my go to for years. As far as ceramics go, it's definitely one of the best!

I've used Zaino Bros for a while now. Kept my old mustang looking brand new for 10 years. Just applied the first couple of coats on my son's Iconic Silver and it really help the gloss, depth, and shine.
