We've had our truck almost a week. Dealer prepped it very nice. They probably waxed it. The last time I bought a car (~25 years ago) I tried to keep the paint in good shape by giving it an occasional paste wax job. I went to auto zone a couple days ago and looked at the wax area. There must be a hundred products. I asked a staff person which are the best and he had no clue. I don't want to get into something that is an abrasive application. At the same time I don't know what wax products to move to or avoid. Any experience on this?
Many thanks, Donald

I am hesitant to make a recommendation because, I live in a mild climate, rarely drive on the open road, park in a carport, and less than 3,000 mi.

When my Maverick was less than a month old, I applied two coats of Turtle Wax Graphene Spray Wax, a week apart. It was very easy. I applied it to everything, the paint, head lights, glass, black trim, and wheels. No streaks or swirls, and amazingly slick.

In the past 9 months, it has been through the car about once a week. The black is still black, and there are still no swirls. Looks brand new.
