A general question. When I shine my shoes I use a black boot polish. It really enhances the color of my shoe. Does any one know of a ceramic or protective coating that can be applied by hand that has black in it for a deeper color after applied?

I really like my Area 51 color and think it would look great with black boot polish!

Thanks for any replies!

Try on a small area first. A51 is really a light color. I use turtle wax ceramic graphene and it is cream colored out of the bottle. Search myriad threads on this topic here. Lots of views on this. I’ve been using this for a couple years and about a year on my mav.

Ceramic (true "ceramic") isn't really good for that deep warm look. It's known more for its shiny and glossy appearance. Your traditional wax will always be your go-to for that deep look (This also includes your "ceramic" waxes). But to answer your original question...no, there is not anything that I am aware of that has some added pigment into it to boost that deep look.

Thank you! Dose it deepen the color!

Yes, that is what I find when applying it! Shiny and hard though!

Years ago color wax was the big thing. Came in a kit to make any custom color. Good for scratches.

I'm slow....but see yours is Area 51 also. I chose that color because I am from the old school where the interior matched the exterior and Area 51 was a great match for the interior.
I like the color in the shadows a lot. In the bright light it's pretty but I would like it to show darker all around. I just put on a coat of Nu Finish ceramic on it that is supposed to last a year. I may get the turtle wax and put a coat over the Nu Finish.
Thanks for responding!

I also bought this color based on matching and resale. Although I will never sell it. It really is lighter than it seems. I put darker carbon fiber letters on the tailgate and they just blended in. I did end up liking it after all.

Very nice look! I did the flag letters. Mine is an XLT, 4k tow and FX4, almost like yours. I wish I got the upgrade with the heated seats though.

I don't plan to sell either as long as it's reliable. The car I replaced with the Maverick was a 2005 Hyundai Tucson with 380K miles.
