This is SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Happy for you, but how TF are people getting new MY2023 orders before we rollovers? Your build is nearly identical to mine (Maverick Lariat Hybrid/Lux/360/360 assist/remote start), you ordered Sep 2022, I ordered in Nov 2021 with absolutely nothing to show for it.

This makes zero sense. Really wish I knew it would be a year and a half, I'd have bought something in the meantime.
Exactly this. If Ford was honest and told people that you could be waiting eighteen months or more for your order while other people wait six months or less, how many people would place an order? I know I sure wouldn't have even considered buying a Ford.

I agree with you 100%. I have said it before and I will say it again. This allocation BS system they have is the cause of most of this. There is NO reason they shouldn't have built all those roll-overs before they ever built any of 2023 orders. It not supply constraints. It's the allocations. :(

Because the Maverick is a heck of a deal, because it has no competition, because its the cheapest truck, and cheapest hybrid you can buy. Of course this is assuming that they exist, and you can actually buy one.

Oh and because ford engages is protectionism so it does not have to actually compete with other manufactures. 🐔🐔🍗🍗

I mean it makes sense in my brain:
Maverick = Good
Ford = Bad

Lol yeah I am quite aware of that one.

Mav can be a good product
Ford can be a shit company

They are not mutually exclusive.

I agree with you but it makes all the sense in the world build the new orders 1st and hope the rollovers cancel so they don't have to lose money on the promised discounts

I love the scenario where you tell them to "cancel" the Maverick and then your sleuthing reveals that is not, in fact, cancelled.

I see you returning to the crime scene like this...

Bearsfan: Hey, remember the Maverick that I ordered that I told you I wanted to cancel? Well, I just learned that it is now built and on it's way here!!! GOTCHA!!!!

Dealer: Uh, ok.

Bears fan: I have PROOF!!!

Dealer: And?

Bearsfan: Since you did not cancel the order, I want to buy it now.

Dealer: Dude, you cancelled. We sold it to someone else.

Bearsfan: Yeah, but it's mine!!

Dealer: Get out.
I cant tell if you are braindead or just bored. I personally love the scenario that you made up in your head which in no way matches what I said.

Are you... under the impression I would say "hey cancel for me!" wait months upon months with no documentation, then return all surprised? Are you under the impression human beings cant have conversations?

I swear some of you REALLY need a new hobby. Again, LM cancels orders all the time. My dealers in metro detroit cancel orders all of the time. It affects their allocations if the original customer does not take it. Seriously.... I'd love to hear you response to LM and others having no issue canceling. Your entire scenario you made up in your bored mind does not exist for me, but thanks for your EXTREME concern lol.

Its hilarious to me you apply your own shitty experiences to everyone else. I quite literally said none of your imaginary scenario lmfao. Can you point to me where I said any of the above? Talk about a strawman.

OrangeBlue: What are words? How do read?

@bearsfan647 I completely agree that people making assumptions about the good or bad experiences they had does not represent or reflect everyone's personal experiences.

I have attempted to go back through and read some postings and such and trying to figure out what is the beef you currently have with Ford...and is it the concept of the weekly scheduling / allocations issue? I mean if you have an idea that would solve all of it, im sure you could ask them for a check and sell the idea to them.

I just feel that with Ford being in business over 100years, that unless a new idea comes around that revolutionizes everything, this is possibly the best system they have with all the different aspects of the manufacturing process, 3rd party distributers/manufacturers, dealerships, etc. But I am sure there is a better way, but if they dont know about it, how would anything change?

It seems like it should not be a problem to give everyone who placed an order a said manufacturing day. you know the total number of vehicles they can build a day, how many are ordered....pick out that many and send emails to everyone with their specific day. But how would you determine who gets picked first? Just by sheer date/time stamp of order placed?. So with the order banks being opened for 5 days....100k orders.... I was one of the bulk people who ordered on day 1 ...and I need a vehicle right now....and i get the email stating that my vehicle will be built in November.... its nice to know I have an actual build date but i need it now...

But what happens then on the assembly line if they hit a parts shortage...stop the production of all the mavericks until that part is put onto that 1 vehicle then resume because they are being built in order of when they were ordered, and not about how they can keep the factory running? what about if a storm destroys part of the building.... robots break down on manufacturing line....workers go on strike. It seems like there would be a never-ending daily email going out with changes to production date for tens of thousands of people.

I am no way throwing any stones at anyone or claiming that no one has the right or not to be angry about this whole process or anything like that. Just that we are all for the most part standing outside looking in, all without actually knowing what is happening inside. I know I am a little frustrated at how this whole system is playing out, but I am keeping my hopes up that sometime soon I will get my Maverick. I guess I am in a better spot then some are, and I feel bad for them, but in general life isnt fair and you have to make the best of things, even in bad times. so I wish everyone good luck and that we all get our Mavericks soon!

I think my dealer will just cancel my order if I walk.
Why would they do that? There are a few reasons for them to keep the order, and zero reasons for them to cancel the order.

If you walk your dealer can sell it to someone else. The dealer just has to explain that you walked and Ford is fine with that as I understand it.

Right. There is no reason for them to cancel it, and I would be hesitant to do business with a dealer that was so foolish.

The only vehicle I have ever seen them mark up was their first Lightning
Interestingly, I was just perusing my dealer's used inventory and they do have a hybrid XL and it is marked up (with a discount then added for some reason). But I also see one of their other dealerships has a used EB at book.
"Book" is a price for a new vehicle. A used vehicle at "book" is "marked up".

Tracker is working for me today. Originally was scheduled for 3/27, then 3/29, then 3/31.... Then the tracker stopped working and FORD chat said I moved to 4/17. Today the tracker started working again and I'm scheduled for 4/19.
