The truck bed looks horrible with all non symmetric painted bolt holes. I think they could have done a better job to make those either more symmetric or better cover them up. Not everybody is going to get a bed liner!!
I agree. That paint job looks terrible.

My Maverick will also not have any bed liner only a bed mat.

Hopefully this was a pre-retail build and that they worked out the kinks for our builds.

Stock or retail, this is a production build. I bet what you see is what you get.

I am pretty sure that is the final version. I have noticed that before in some silver Mavericks and that was the main reason I didn't go with silver, where these crappy job is most obvious. I hope with my Alto Blue, it is less noticeable. I still can't believe this passed the quality check, it looks like a DIY project of Dad and Son, what was done in their garage. BTW, this ugly pattern is all over the bed, not only on the side area...

Those are spot welds, not painted bolts.

Whatever it is, it looks bad. At least they could have made them symmetric and not spreaded out randomly all over the truck bed.

Pretty bare bones...... No dash pic's ? Hybrid or 2.0 ????
If there is a box behind those bed Flex panels..I think you you could find some push and turn knobs for a quick opening of those.. or just try to buy the factory covers
It's the ECO-BOOST Still waiting for the Hybrid

There wont be any hybrid until you see an official window sticker. I think they have manufactured few but waiting for final EPA data to do the window stickers.

I doubt they're random. I'd much rather have them functional than aesthetic.

It is not the question aesthetic vs functional, they just don't belong there where you can see them. Is like you put those all over the outside of any car. The bed is part of the visible area of the car exterior and one should not have to choose between aesthetic vs functional, both should be taken care of. If Ford is not able to do it properly, than they should have offered spray in bed liner standard for all their trucks.

K. I was just responding to your comment that placement should have prioritized based on "symmetry." I'm willing to chalk it up to cost cutting, and I'll have to see mine to know if it actually bothers me.

Remember this is an "entry level" vehicle. And the spray in bed liner does come with the luxury package.

But from the tone of your posts about this subject you no doubt do not agree or care, but those are the facts. If you don't like the appearance of the inside of the truck bed then get the luxury package or a drop in or spray in bed liner or a bed rug, or other accessory to cover it.

What are the facts, I am confused?? So you are saying you are not eligible to have a clean looking truck bed when you buy an entry level trim? First of all: This bed is not only in the "entry" XL level, the Lariat (which is the highest trim level of Maverick) has the exact same Bed, without the spray in bed liner. The Spray in Bed liner is an option, which can be added separately and happens to be part of the so called "luxury package". Secondly, if Ford is offering a truck Bed without a bed liner, it should look aesthetically clean, Period. There are people who don't want the Bed liner because they want a clean looking truck bed (read through the forum). I am not sure if any of them will like this weird unclean look.....

The facts are as I stated (and you re-stated): 1. It's an entry level truck. 2. If you don't like the look of the inside of the bed then get the luxury package or a drop in or spray in bed liner or a bed rug, or other accessory to cover it.

All I can add is if you (or anyone one else that wants a "clean looking" truck bed as you point out) don't like the look, either do one of the options listed in #2 above, or buy a different truck. But good luck with that $20k price with the competition.
