who in their right mind would pay that much for a base model used vehicle?
Spotless or not, if vehicle market prices correct themselves within the next couple years, the owner is going to find themselves owing thousands of dollars on a vehicle worth half the price they paid/still owe.
The same people who pay $900 for concert tickets, $300 for sneakers, $200 for haircuts, $500 for a bottle of wine, etc. Plenty of folks are able to, and willing to buy something they like without worrying about price. These are not people who finance and not people who keep vehicles for many years.

I've been offered $34,000 for my 2023 XL Hybrid.. I financed 100% of the truck, taxes, everything and the payoff is $21,750.

Going to be hard to turn that down.
where?

I'm trying to, but I don't have a backup vehicle and can't do it at least until it gets into town. My truck has been stuck sitting in Tampa and the way things have gone so far, I wouldn't be surprised if it sits there a month.

I remember a facebook video about this guy bragging about paying 50k over msrp for a hellcat or something. Like he custom ordered it and still paid over msrp like it was some badge to collect. Like I just cant see how people can be like that yet every day we see cars selling for well over what they are worth.

This site is not for Maverick fanbois only. And as to your warranty...

Now here is the Farley that Ford really needs! :ROFLMAO:

Carvana offered $ 38,568.00 for my 2022 Lariat lux with 3200 miles this morning. originally paid MSRP $33,315.00. Driving to a CarMax tomorrow morning to get an offer. CarMax considered my Maverick to be a rare vehicle and would not make an offer online.
My dealer said they will beat CarMax's offer for trade in.
The new 2023 Maverick will have a sales tax of about $2300.00 with no trade. Should be no sales tax if I trade my 2022 Maverick in. Trading in will best if dealer does match or beat CarMax"s offer.

Everybody involved in the used car bubble is soon to lose. People are falling behind on insanely high payments and inventory is starting to far outweigh demand.
These are the two cheapest trucks you can buy on Carvana and they are outrageously overpriced. Average payment right now in US is $700 and average interest rate is around 12%. Repo man gonna be busy.

Agreed! Flat earth stupid to pay these insane amounts over MSRP on a depreciating asset.

Just checked Carvana, there is no shortage of Mavericks it it seems. Even for my 23 XLT Lux Hy on the East Coast, I don't think it would be worth it to sell to Carvana. Just based on the prices I see on Carvana. I'm in for $29.5k OTD including a 5 year PMP (Premium Maint. Plan was $2,175). The dealership says powertrain warranty for life. What's not to like? 3-5 grand profit isn't gonna move the needle over 5-10 years for most owners. I'm currently facing some serious financial "uncertainty" and I still can't justify selling the Maverick.

Carvana offered me 31.5 for my loaded 2.0 lariat , dealer gave me 32.5. had no bites on craigslist for over a month at 37.5 which was MSRP. 5000 miles on a 2022 , dealer now has it listed at 39.5

You understand that this is a perfectly normal offer for that vehicle, right? People that seem to have only purchased vehicles during this SUPER inflated pre-owned market and never at any other time in history seem to have a very misguided view of used car values.
