Today I tried taking my car through a car wash but when I put my vehicle in neutral the rollers wouldn't push my vehicle forward. Have any of you guys had weird issues with that? They kept going underneath the car and my steering wheel would tilt but it wouldn't actually push my car forward. Like my car was in neutral but it wasn't. Sorry it's kind of weird to explain

Just one more reason to NOT use car washes!

Auto hold was on. Happened to me at first wash.

Thanks to everybody for the responses. It was pretty embarrassing but I watched a few YouTube videos and figured it out what a stupid method of having to forcefully make your vehicle stay in neutral LOL

I mean, I just put it in neutral without turning it off... I was worried reading all these posts about temp neutral and auto park and stuff, but as long as the truck is running it will just stay in neutral.

You have to put it in neutral and then hit the "L" which locks the transmission in neutral for up to 30 minutes 🤣. When I just threw it into Neutral it would throw the parking brake on.

You have to put it in neutral, press and hold the brake pedal, and then hit the "L" which locks the transmission in neutral for up to 30 minutes 🤣. When I just threw it into Neutral it would throw the parking brake on.
Fixed it for you (changes in red per owner's manual).

I learned that a firm press on the brake pedal would activate the hold function, but a light press would not. All I have to do now is shift into neutral after a light stop and it's fine; no more hold.

Or maybe, I don't know, just do it whatever way works. Just a thought. ;)
