There is a comment section under each auction on that site. In the comments the seller says he ordered the maverick and a F150 lighting at the same time and now he has both and guessing he wants to keep just one, so maverick is the one he is ditching.

Not uncommon thing. Many people bought them then decided to get something else and sold them to carvana or carmax or back to a ford dealer.

Several other mavericks have sold on this site and brought good money so he likely wanted to see if his would sell for big bucks on here. I know I would have suggested to anyone wanting to sell theirs to try listing it on this site first... doesn't cost anything to list it or even anything if it sells.

The buyer pays a fee to the site if they win the auction, so you win the auction you owe the seller whatever the final bid was, then the site charges your credit card the buyers fee.

I threw out a bid just for the hell of it, but honestly I am sure someone else out there will want it more than me. I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention as I am sure many of you never heard of cars and bids before. I am addicted to that site, and for some reason I am strangely attracted to odd ball japanese market cars like the Kei cars and trucks and weird JDM vans and whatnot.

Correct. Currently, at my bid, with the buyers fee, I am under MSRP. Even figuring in a cheap airfare to get there and gas to drive it home I am under MSRP.

Vehicle is only 3 months old. There have been no hurricanes to hit south Florida during that time.
